Yeah, in Norcal, they have stock and seem pretty willing to negotiate when you physically at the dealership.

So I came across the nicest spec and probably the best G87 I have ever seen in my life. J/k- this is my car I traded in but it sure does look pretty. Dealer gave me $58K for trade in, and their initial asking price is $62,995. Not much of a markup but it is the worst time of the year in Minneapolis to sell this type of car.

It was a complicated decision and I wrestled with it for a few months. It had nothing to do with the car's style, performance, functionality. I absolutely loved that thing.

I got a winter beater in September then I found myself not driving the M2 much anymore. On top of that I had such bad OCD with wanting to keep the car clean, unblemished, new, and all that....it got to the point where I would avoid driving if it was going to rain if I had cleaned the car recently. I have two kids and a large dog so the need for something more practical took hold in addition to learning that my winter beater might not make it too much longer.

On top of that the car was close to being paid off so there was lots of cash in something that was about to sit in my garage until April/May unused (MN winters are no joke). I know I would have fallen in love with the M2 again come next summer and would have driven the crap out of it. But felt I would cycle back to considering getting rid of it again in advance of next winter so thought just sell it now and get a maximum return.

I felt really good about the trade in value and got into something more practical but with still tons of performance (X5M Competition).

Probably more than what you were looking for but those are main points of what went into the decision.

Sounds a like a very good choice. Sure you will love the X5MC.
