Here in Romania the dealer is using BMW oil 5W30 (83212465849). As i have a prepaid maintenance program, I am stuck with thei oil but I will do an oil change at half their interval (aprox 8000km).
I just done the oil change and I will send a sample to Blackstone Lab. for analysis to see how it looks after 8000km of relative hard driving

Any reason Liquid Moly Special Tec B FE SAE 0W-30 wouldn’t meet the requirements?

Specifications / Approvals
ACEA A5, ACEA B5, API SP, BMW Longlife-01 FE, MB-Approval 229.6, Volvo VCC 95200377

It does meet the specs for the S58 due to it's LL-01 FE rating.

It's a suitable LL-01FE oil. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it, but if it's cheaper or easier to get than the BMW oil then it is a good option.

From my M2 owner's manual:

Viscosity grades
When selecting an engine oil, make sure that the engine oil has a suitable viscosity grade. The suitable viscosity grade is indicated on a sign in the engine compartment.

Just below the above there is a viscosity callout: 0w-30.

Don't think I'd use 0w-20 oil in the M2 engine.

In the past I've ended up with new/unopened bottles of oil that I bought for use with cars/vehicles I no longer own. Couple of bottles of oil for my MINI JCWs, my MINI S, a M-B cargo van, Dodge Scat Pack, and a BMW 230i and 230ix.

I try to find a home for them with another owner of a car/engine that can use the oils but have been unsuccessful. So I have collected all the bottles of unopened oil and will bring them with me when I take the car in for service and give the bottles to the service department. The techs will find a use for oil or at least open the bottles and pour them into the oil drain catch basin for recycling.

Ravenol ASW 0W-30 seems like a great match.

Specification: ACEA C3, API SN
Approvals: BMW Longlife-04, MB 229.31, MB 229.51, MB 229.52, VW 504 00, VW 507 00

Great 0W-30 HTHS. Protect your engine, keep your warranty.

There's a slightly better one available in the EU, but I can't find it for the U.S.Name: Ravenol VSW.png

You won’t keep your warranty if investigated. TIS explicitly states LL04 is not permitted in North America. Technically suitable oils for S58 are LL01 or LL01FE only. Grade does not matter.

No, it does not meet spec or minimum HTHS.
