If I have the autoid painted one without the base and I buy the CSL style grill can I install it? I’ve had the autoid for a while but wanted to wait for a grill before install.

Just pop the base off your stock grille, swap the emblems, & install. The base is held on with a thin piece of double-sided tape, as are the letters.

If it has a silver outline, not interested. The front of this car takes a lot of hits from rocks & debris. I can see all the marks in my ppf. It's not surprising the emblem is chipped already. It needs to be made out of black plastic to be durable, instead of painted.

This is what I’m thinking. Plus I think the new OEM one have an outline which helps the lettering stand out. All black looks like a blob and hard to read….at least from these sample photos.
