I changed the trim on my 23 M2 from the specced Rhombicle to Factory Carbon Fiber pieces that I ordered and the lighting did not work immediately once installed. My BMW focused shop couldn't even program it. It had to be taken to the dealership to get recoded so the ambient light would work and this was a swap of two identical factory parts of different trim materials. My guess is the coding could become an issue even if you get the plugs to work.
