Different angle, different day, same gas station. Only one that's somewhat close to me that has 93 octane and is also Top Tier.

Thanks and congrats!

It’s the cheap lip from amazon. The one in the post’s picture was a carbon fiber “look” that I would not recommend and the exact one is no longer available althought there are other vendors offering the same thing. The cf look pattern was awful. I later got the gloss black, it looks like this (cf look, and now gloss black).

I was got a new lip but with the wildfires here in los angeles, I have not had time to install it.

Thanks mate.
And I was looking for a gloss black one anyway as I think it will tie in better to my stock from end with all the OEM gloss black.

Are you in LA?!!!
Stay safe mate!
I am from OZ so I know bush fires are no joke.
Take care bro!

I’ve been following it on the news and it looks really bad!
Hoping it settles down soon mate and sending you and your community some prayers, support, and g’day from your brothers and sisters down under!

I understand BMW has had a long relationship with Shell. I’ve always assumed it’s just marketing. But now that I’m an owner, honest question: Why is Shell superior to any other Top Tier?

My opinion (based off my butt dyno and a healthy dose of placebo) is its consistency.
For me it comes down to octain rating and any other benifits like cleaning agents for the engine.
Depending where your from (US, UK, or OZ) Shell V power has the highest octain rating along with bp ultimate at 98 Ron (in OZ). However testing in OZ shows (on YouTube so take that with a grain of salt) that bp ultimate commonly fluctuates slightly with its octain, where v-power is always rock solid. So that’s why I always use v-power.
I am open to anyone else’s input as I have NO expertise in this area at all.
