How did you find out the production week, is it the same as the allocation the dealer had? I ordered a m240 November 28th, my allocation was allegedly for 7th week of 2025. I still don’t know when my actual scheduled production week will be.

Seriously? You 240 guys ruined my thread on the 230i and keep trying to bait me and now you’ve had enough? I am in the market for a 240i? Ask your buddy IanH to stop. Stop posting trash and so will I.

What was it that you said to me? If you don't want unsolicited opinions then don't post on a public forum. Don't like what I write? Too bad. It is a public forum.

Let’s get this thread back going . I have been at the Oxnard VPC since 12/27 with no update . CA has no update and BMW genius has a friendly automated message saying they are inspecting my vehicle to ensure no issues before delivery . Hope I get on a transit vehicle next week .

Did you check your status recently? It should be back at 112 by now. My rep told me my confirmed production week is 4th week of January, so 1 week behind you. My status flipped from 111 to 112 today.

Ditto. Rep said week 4 and it flipped to 112 yesterday.

Hello again all - disappeared for a short while after I traded in my F82 Comp for an X3 2.0 diesel (which was ghastly and slow) then quickly traded that in for the M40i - which is shortly being traded in for an M240i

Ordered end of Oct.
Been at status 150 since 25th November (VIN assigned)

Expected delivery to UK mid to end of March

Spec wise:
Thundernight
792's
Black w/ red highlight leather
Carbon Fibre interior trim
Heated steering
M Adaptive suspension
Folding / dimming mirrors
Electric seats & memory
Harmon Kardon
M Sport seats
Tech Pack
Comfort Pack

X3 boot space was fine and handy for the golf clubs and trolley after the M4 - which was a bit like playing Tetris trying to squeeze everything in. Assuming the 2 series boot will be much the same. Any other golfers on here?

Just counting down the sleeps now.

I ordered my car from Romania, as far as I know, my car is at status 150 starting with the 5th of December, my dealer told me today that only starting the 13th of January we might see changes to statuses as that is when Germany resumes work and that the current status is likely not updated and it's an old one from December. I am not sure what to think about this information, I read that others here got status updates in the last few days, but at the same time checking other posted timelines, I would think that my and pie's cars should already have production completed, any thoughts?

Going by previous replies, its a build time of around 4 weeks from status 150.

Then about 2 weeks to go from the to Port at Mexico (not sure if there's any variations with ours being EU vehicles and the majority of this thread being US).

With mine being 150 on Nov 25th, this timeline takes us to Christmas Day for completion.

Allow 7-10 days of a production slow down due to holidays and I reckon it should be completing this week then over to Port for w/c 27th.

A week to load up the vessel takes us to w/c 3rd Feb.

It's going to be at least a 4 week sail across the Atlantic so the earliest we'll see either vehicle on EU soil will be 3rd March plus whatever timescale it takes from Port to dealer.

Have you got your VIN number from your dealer? You can go onto the BMW chat function and ask them for a build update. I just did it this morning and have a reminder in my Outlook calendar to go noise them up again in a weeks time (Hopefully what you are saying about Germany being on holiday is correct and we then get a favourable update next week!)

Great overall information. Also, unless I am mistaken, all 2 series including M2’s are produced in Mexico. That said, perhaps the holidays at the Mexican plant are similar to the German plants.

Really helpful to know, my dealer doesn't exactly give a lot of info.

I do have my VIN number, but BMW Romania's website does not have a Genius chat, so I tried BMW UK, but as expected they don't have access to non-UK orders, so I will give it a try with the german website and see how that goes.

Either way, the anticipation is building

Here is my spec:

Thundernight
893 M wheels
M PerformTex interior
P Sport Pro pack
Premium pack
ZTK
Heated steering
Lumbar support
M Adaptive Suspension
Harman Kardon

Pie,

The G42 chassis offers plenty of boot space for both clubs and trolley, depending on what you're using for a trolley. I've got an MGI Zip Navigator AT and both clubs and trolley fit easily. I put the trolley in first and then take the woods out of the bag lay them sideways with the heads tucked in to one of the little side cut-outs. Finally the stand bag goes in on top of the woods. If your bag is compact enough, you might be able to get away without having to remove the woods.

Hope this helps,
Bill

This sounds very much like the same process I had with the M4.

Trolley is a Motocaddy and once folded up, it looks like the T shaped Tetris tile.
That has to go in first and the bag goes diagonal across the boot floor with the driver and FW wood out the bag.

I'm sure it'll be fine, the X3 is super convenient though as I can just throw everything in after a round in any order I wish!
