How to make "Dynamic Traction Control" stay on?

I push the Traction button, which turns down the electronic nannies and does appear to let the car handle with a little more enthusiasm. But after a while, it automatically turns itself off. Does anyone know of making it stay selected until I manually turn it off?

That sounds odd. I select Dynamic Traction almost every time I start the car by pressing and releasing the DSC button. But it stays on until I shut it off or turn the car off. I've got a 2022 with I Drive 7 and I see "Traction" in yellow on the right side of the instrument cluster.

The manual does state that the DSC will re-activate if you're using "Active Cruise Control" or if there is an automatic brake intervention.

Do any of those apply?

The DTC will also come back on if you get a collision warning...from following an appropriate German vehicle distance from the car in front

Thanks everyone. Active Cruise Control would be the cause. I use it a lot as a licence saver - my state is notoriously strict with speed limits. Even on a fun, twisty road, I'll often use it on the longer straights - so now I know to avoid it!
