If you order from Tuxmats, they should be able to send an extra bag or two of free clips. This will help because I essentially added clips and pushed the mat as tight as possible against the driver side left corner. Just adding clips as needed to ensure a flush and snug fit. I think each mat will have slightly different “bends” or “folds” based on shipping so your clip configuration will vary. You could essential end up with a perfect fit but who knows.

I’ll let the mat wear in a bit and take a picture shortly.

You are going to have to help me out with this. I will cut the mat if I have too, but I can't for the life of me figure out what you are clipping to!

My mats are pretty well unfolded after living in a G42 for a year, but definitely interfering with the clutch.

Has anyone installed the 3D mats in a 6 MT? And if so were there fitment issues?

Well... I just took a knife and carpet tape to the Tux mats. 2/10 for a manual car. I would not recommend.

Hopefully they come out with a manual set and I will swap out the driver side.

I am also looking for all-season weather mats or liners for the G87 MT.

Before checking the forums here, I also contacted Tuxmats and they replied that they don't have any that fit the G87 MT, which you all know.

Not sure what to do at this point, other than ride it out until there's a product available.

FWIW, you might be able to get away with Tux Mats if you have a clutch stop installed and don't have huge wide feet. The squeak is when you fully depress the clutch, but there is also a risk of the left side of your shoe catching the slightly larger tux mat dead pedal area.

I cut the mat with a horizontal and vertical slice behind the clutch and used some carpet tape to try to get it to lie flat. I am not super happy with the results, but in combination with the clutch stop it is "fine". With the clutch stop and smaller then 11 extra wide shoes you may not need to slice.

Tuxmats here. Instead of carpet tape, you can also use the reverse clips provided to Velcro to the carpeting. Personally, I'm more concerned with the oversized piece between the seat and the door jamb. Overall, I'm ok with the purchase and it does the job. As mentioned, with a clutch stop, you'll have less cutting to do. I used gorilla tape to tape over the cut edges and hide the exposed foam material. They look great.

Thanks for the tip on the gorilla tape. Going to try that and see if I am happier.

Got some Tux mats for Christmas. Didn’t put them in yet and sure I can figure it out but if you had any pics on the cuts you made and the tape, would help! Thanks!

I may have gone a little excessive on the cutting. I wear size 11 shoes and boots and need new clearance than most. I started by rubbing chalk behind the pedal and just pushing the pedal down to mark the rubbing. Made cuts and then did the same wearing an old shoe. I'll attach pictures in as bit.

I really really suggest getting a clutch stop before you cut. I wish I had. I think I could have been less aggressive that way.

I made two cuts in a |-- shape. The vertical cut on the left is along the corner where the dead pedal meets the back wall. The horizontal cut is where the manual clearly has a bigger area to fill. But again, I think I was more aggressive cutting then I needed to be.

Just got the tux set for a manual, it does get in the way of the clutch when you start the car as you have to press the clutch down all the way. Otherwise, hasn’t given me any issues while driving.

WeatherTech just released floor liners for G87 MT. Fit is good at the pedals. It doesn't interfere with the clutch pedal. I have a 2024 G87.

The only annoyance is that when accessing the back seat and the front seat is tilted down, it begins automatically moving the seat forward and it will clip the liner that's on the floor directly in front and push the liner forward towards the pedals, making an awkward click sound.

I ordered the 2023 model year version that came with 1st and 2nd row. The 2024 liner only includes the 1st row for some reason. But the part no. for the 1st row 2023 and 2024 is the same.

Thanks for posting about the weathertech mats for the manuals.

I put myself on the list to be notified when weathertech put it out and I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Just placed my order.

What is the clutch stop? I bought a set of Tuxmats without knowing they weren’t design with manuals in mind. With just a few miles, the clutch pedal got stuck with the floormat. I removed it in the meantime but I really like how the fit the car in the passenger en rear area

I'm using Tuxmats for the passenger seat, rear seats, and trunk. I cut the drivers side to work with the clutch pedal, but just didn't trust the mat clips. So, I am using the BMW all weather mat for the drivers side only.
