2026 Acura RSX (EV SUV)
C&D Link
As a very low mileage RSX-S owner, this really stings haha. The world is going towards boring, bloated EV's and Crossovers. It's completely the opposite of my lightweight, 6MT, basically fully analogue RSX-S. Zero chance any of these other rumored coupes are going to be released (like the Celica, RX-7, Silvia, etc.). The Prelude will also be a dud as it will basically be a less usable Prius in a sharper body. So glad the M240ix still exists, as it's the only AWD coupe with a somewhat useable backseat left. At $52K it's the same price as the much less luxury, slower Integra Type S (that disappointed me a lot as well due to pricing). |

Would have a hard time convincing me that the backseat in a 2 series is usable. The backseat in a 3 is hardly usable. Put a pain of rear facing car seats in and prove me wrong, lol.

Loved the RSX-S when it came out and I was in high school. This one is just another EV disappointment.

The backseat in my RSX-S is not really usable, except in emergencies. However, the backseat of the 2 series is somewhat usable in a pinch. If you're 5' 9" or under it's okay for short distances (perfect for date nights, etc.) |

When I had a 3 as a loaner, putting the car seats in the back was a nightmare. Rear facing wouldn't fit behind me, and I'm only 6'2 and sit very upfront and on the wheel. Even putting my son front facing behind me he had very little room for his legs. Granted, the 3 is probably not designed as a family car, but for those of us with kids, it's too small. Damn shame too, because I really want a manual sedan and M3 is one of the last ones left |

The other was a little 5'7 kid. He used to get mad that everyone was taller than him and hated it when me or our other buddy who was also 6'2 used to bend down to hear him in crowded/loud bars. He threw that stat out a lot, but I always found the average to be more like 6' to 6'1. I suspect the number is skewed by some people who are really short, and the median is much higher. |

Median vs Mean is an important thing for everyone to understand because without that context, statistics are just fabrications. |

Back to the car, not my cup of tea. Do not hate the styling but I am not yet in the EV camp. That, and the last Acura I owned chewed through transmissions. Pass from me. |

Anyway, I can't believe they are bringing back the RSX name as an electric SUV!! I was very hopeful that with Honda bringing back the Prelude, that we might have seen a Prelude (Civic) based RSX Type S that had more power. Ugh.

Is t the new Prelude a bastardization of that nameplate too? It's like supposed to be a fairly low power hybrid right? Like a Honda Insight more than a real Prelude?

Likely gonna use the 206hp Civic/Accord/CRV hybrid powertrain which has proven to be faster than the SI from 0-60

It's supposed to get a decent economy/sporty engine but then they are pairing it with a "sport" cvt womp womp womp. That's why I was hoping the RSX would be the Prelude but with a manual and a better engine. Oh well.
