I wish I knew how "rough" these preproduction wheels are. I like they're 19" front and rear, and the color looks great with alpine white.

There are a couple reasons for that. One is that I’ve let people specify they want the darker version of the color (some have requested that darker gold, which will be coming as a new color shortly) but, more importantly, I switched the color around a little given some supplier issues I had with that particular color (as Ronin mentioned). I’ve now made about a dozen sets of brushed celestial with the new formulation and it’s consistent and exactly what that color was originally intended to be. The old version will be retired for simplicity.

To keep it very simple though. Brushed Celestial is the color Ronin posted or shown here (taken 5 minutes ago on an iPhone and unedited). It’s a warm light gold that suits many of the G8x colors perfectly.

Those obviously have nothing to do with BSPK Forged; however, I make a ‘refined version’ of that wheel which will be coming to a few forum member cars (and the website) shortly.

I had a bronze satin set from Apex on my M240, and half the photos BSPK buyers post of celestial gold have them looking very bronze toned.

I am looking for a brighter, more gold medal look to go with Alpine White.
Brushed light gold (top) next to Brushed Celestial Gold (bottom). They are both light golds but brushed light gold is more yellow while brushed celestial (shown satin here) is a paler, warmer tone.

Based on your description of wanting a more ‘gold medal’, brighter color, I might recommend brushed light gold, which pairs with a white car beautifully IMHO

Thank you and happy holidays to you as well.

I appreciate you making this thread. I’ve always been here but didn’t want to run afoul of forum rules by posting here until I became a vendor, which should be active by tomorrow. I’m definitely going to keep making high quality, reasonably priced wheels; I love doing it!

Thanks again!

I'm on this list at my local dealer to order a G80 but it will likely be a year. My plan is to swap my wheels over to the new car, but seeing those wheels above maybe I'll order a new set.... 🤔🤓

These look awesome. I don't suppose you have a photo of the regular gold (not brushed) wheels for comparison?

I really appreciate all the info.

I have a few different ones. I can send photos if you contact via the site (it would be a lot to put here). Some are new and I’m still adding them to the site - nothing that immediately fits a gold medal type aesthetic though, some paler gold bronzes and a warmer copper-ish gold mainly.

That said, this (medium gold gloss) is one of the more popular ones and, based on what you described, seems to be consistent with what you’re after.

Thank you. This is the color I am after. Obviously it is all subjective, but Alpine white needs a little more color on the wheel than the other BMW paints on the G87. I will reach out when I am ready to order. Thank you so much!

This is not a current BSPK offering but I know John could do something similar. IMO would look nice with Alpine White.

Absolutely could do something like that if anyone is interested. That's essentially BMW's Bi-color (what I call machined face) with a different color base (red in this instance).

I have about 40 colors on the site to pick from but I also have access to lot of different colors that aren't necessarily on the site - so if anyone wanted something really unique don't hesitate to ask. Reason for this is simple, I try to keep the options somewhat limited to what is common for the site but there is an option for custom color for a reason - I figure not that many people want Tiffany Blue rims (aside from my wife, LOL) so don't put that color on the site, etc.

Here's a Millie I did like that for reference (though with a gloss black base)

One that comes out kind of cool - is doing that wheel but then with a satin clear. It changes the aesthetic in a really interesting way (IMHO).

Here's an example of machine face with satin clear that I did on one of my classic Alfa styles (if it wasn't obvious I do a ton of Alfa Romeo wheels)

Just placed my order with John today! Doing something a little different but I'm excited. This post definitely helped with my decision to go with BSPK for my G80.

So I see John updated the website, so I'll share what we came up with

I reached out asking if he would consider an 827M style of wheel and he told me he's been wanting to do it but didn't have anyone inquire - So, that's what we did!

I'm doing 19x10 et 11 in front, 20x11 et 12 in rear. I am a big OEM+ guy, so I went with the Hyper Silver finish. Can't wait for them to arrive!

The slash cuts across the spokes are far deeper than on the actual 827M

I never actually noticed those details until seeing this version.

Where the spoke transitions between the hexagon and the trapezoid? The render is an unfinished wheel (basically the CNC program). I think you may think it looks less defined because the OEM ones you've seen have been painted. I am looking now though and don't really see a material difference.

Again though, not necessarily meant to be exact. The trapezoid section of the OEM wheel is flat to the lip. I intentionally have that area still coming out at an angle to increase the visual concavity of the wheel. That creates a different radius where I need to make that slash cut.

Fun to discuss this stuff admittedly. I enjoy drawing the wheels quite a bit.

I am a huge concavity person, which you can kind of see better here. This wheel is over 4" cap to lip. It's DEEP.
