This is what I did. When I came to sign the papers, my car still had the protective film on it (as I requested ahead of time). My detailer picked it up straight from the dealership the next day in a covered transport for paint correction, ppf, tint, and ceramic.

Not if you ask them not to in advance. Mine was loaded with filth as it sat on the showroom floor when I took delivery.

Told a buddy of mine to do this few years back when he was picking up his M4, he didn't think it was necessary. He then got a nice big rock chip in his hood driving his new baby home from the dealership and was kicking himself. You can lead a horse to water, but...

Exactly...I had mine picked up from the dealership in an enclosed trailer which went straight for paint correction, ppf and ceramic coating.

My dealership will not wash cars with either PPF or ceramic finishing as they have an automated car wash. Happy to get my car back from a service unwashed then have a section of the PPF lift from the paintwork.

I picked mine up completely filthy, nothing better than doing that first wash myself. It came through Galveston port and oddly enough did not have any external protective wrap. Maybe they only apply it to cars that are being shipped further.

I told them no but they ran it through anyway! It came with tons of swirls on the bumpers and damaged my front license plate. Will need to get a sign for next time….ugh!

I’ve got matte Ceramic on top of matte PPF on top of matte Portimou. I didn’t do all that to have some asshat jack up my stuff.

Handwash only for me.

Is your real name Matt by chance? If not, I suggest a change.

I'm actually at the dealer now getting my third oil change, which also includes the following...
-Oil Change
-Spark plugs
-Cabin filter
-Remote battery replacement
-Windshield wiper replacement (even though I told them I don't use it because I never drive in the rain)
-VA inspection

If they are using the OEM wiper blades I would pass...they suck.

The scratches are there, you just can't see them.
