I did look in the manual, and it says to use the smartphone tray!

Is this not the wireless charger?

Mine went to Step 9 this morning, nightfire -- stayed there all day, though. Hope it isn't stuck there for another week ... maybe there was a factory-wide halt in production that affected all three of us?

The Key Card was precisely why I ordered that option, not the actual device charging -- though the charging does seem to work fine in my '23 MINI JCW, so YMMV (and my MMV, lol)

The tray is there if you get the charger or not. The non charger tray has a symbol denoting that you put the key card or a key out of battery there.

I called BMW Genius today and they couldn't say anything about delays, but they did say the car will be at the Mexico port for 2-8 weeks waiting for a ship. Super bummed.

Mine is waiting for transport also. I am ok with 2-3 weeks but anything more would definitely suck.

That 2-8 weeks quote, nightfire , is (hopefully) Genius playing it safe. The 'Ready for Transport' stage can be maddening.

(My car moved to Step 10 'Ready for Transport' this morning.)

I expect 2 weeks.
Anything over 3 would not be good ... not the least reason for which would be the dark spectre of tariffs looming over us as we all wait for a boat ... and all of the SLP-built cars have a fairly lengthy rail ride to Veracruz to get to the boats, too.

Last fall it seemed like Mexico was fairly quick with getting finished cars onto boats. The recent stop-start nature of factory M2 production makes me wonder about that trend, though.

Hopefully it's quick!

Mine has been stuck in Step 8 Quality Control all week which is a bit concerning too.

Here is hoping bmw is really bad at updating status on the system and actually all of our cars are sitting at the port ready for loading on a ship...

That’s what happened to me. I jumped a ton of steps one day and then like 4 more 2 days later.

I have heard it can jump from Ready to Transport to on a boat. The question for all of us is when that jump will happen!!! Let's hope we aren't stuck in Ready to
Transport for more than 3 weeks.

That would be great! Mine jumped a few steps but it was just paint and stuff like that, then was in assembly for a week and now quality control for a week.

Hi all!

Figured I'd jump in here on this forum.
I ordered a 2025 Voodoo Blue M2 with Carbon Pack, Headlight Upgrade, Shadow lights, Blue Brakes & Silver wheels.

Below will be my current eta:
August 1 - Order placed
September 4 - Order accepted (112)
January 23 - Production Begins (150)

Will continue to add dates as the production progresses, I was told this vehicle is a week 6 production, so, assuming it should be done this week and waiting for a vessel.

Does anybody know when I should expect to receive the vehicle at this point? Vehicle will be coming to Northern California for a dealer delivery. Any insights are greatly appreciated!

I have a PB on order that entered production on 12/4. After 1/16, it was set to Ready for Transport. Then that date changed to 1/27 for the same status?!?

Either way, I'm hoping we're not waiting on a boat for that long.

For those of you that are at 150, have you used the F12 browser trick to find your actual build date? My car went to 150 on January 17th. Using the F12 trick I saw my build completion date was January 31st. Sure enough, over the course of the day on the 31st I went through every step up to 180. My car was released to a carrier and waiting to be transported to the port of exit. I’m still sitting at 180 now.

For those whose cars are built and waiting to get on a ship, are you tracking things in the app or the garage website, or are you calling the Genius line to get updates?

From what I’ve personally seen and from what I was told by Customer Relations, the app and the website don’t update in a timely manner. Your best best for the most accurate status is the Genius line.

My g42 has been stuck in final assembly for 3 weeks. Monday out of no where and for the first time my SA called me. He said the car had been built and finished over a week ago even though the app didn’t say so on my side. He said it would be on a ship very soon if it isn’t already.

Perhaps it was just a coincidence he called, or perhaps he saw something change on the backend. There are quite a few of us, including on the g20 forums, waiting for a ship. Surely there will be movement any day now.

ETA: Some on the G20 forums are seeing their status change to in transit today. I checked with the F12 trick and my status is 160 after all. Now we just need to find the ship name that will have our cars.

My app and website were always the same but they would jump a lot of steps in a single day, usually after a weekend. I think in one day I jumped 8 steps.

I called Genius and got the name of the ship it was on and found out it was already out to sea before the status changed.

Interesting. Do you remember what step the app showed you on when Genius told you you were on a ship?

The app is showing me in step 9 since Friday but I’m actually in step 11, so same experience there.

It was either at the port or awaiting carrier assignment.
The website isn't loading for me currently so I can look through it (shocking)
