Last time I watched the Bathurst 1000 was with legends like Peter Brock (King of the Mountain) and Craig Lowdnes in cars like the Ford Falcon V8 that the main public used, such good times then.

I was, and still am, a huge fan of Moff. He’s unfortunately not very well, suffering with dementia. Qualifying is on now! Last edited by HFW003; 01-31-2025 at 09:36 PM.. |

Getting dementia is terrible, making you forget things. I see the Sierra Cosworth model of that what he drove, those cars especially the RS500 were going for silly money a few years ago and prices have stabilised and come down some now.

2025 Bathurst 12 hour
BMW looking good in 2nd & 3rd positions at the 3 hour mark.
Temperatures not too hot today which is a good sign for the BMW’ which struggle in the heat. Race being run at a hectic pace with plenty of big ‘incidents’ already.

Halfway mark & BMW currently in 1st & 2nd place.
Long way to go but cars are looking stronger than in previous years. Much less hectic period of racing than the first 1/4 which was pretty crazy.

BMW 1 & 2 with 5h18m to go. My fave Gulf Vantage hanging in 9th which is pretty impressive for a non factory previous spec car.

Final hour, BMW #32 still looking good for the win in 1st, #46 back in 5th however speculation that 1 or 2 cars ahead of them may need to stop for fuel again so a podium may be possible. 🫣

Blimey. Magnificent move by Marciello! What a move by the white BMW (car 46). Looking like a BMW 1, 2 now. Still 18 minutes left though.
