2024 G42 AA downpipe + AA axel back

First time posting forgive me and I suck at writing.

Just a quick review, purely my opinions I am in no way a expert in any of this.

FWI I installed the axel back first, then the downpipe recently. 4ish months with just the axel back, then ~1000 miles with both axel back and downpipe.

I absolutely love the combination of the two I think the car sounds pretty darn good. But I also came from a Tesla so anything sounds better. Cold starts are actually pretty loud ngl. But other than that absolutely love it, the car now has a much deeper tone with more throat in the high rpms. The burbles are more defined and have been getting more actual pops.

TLDR: Axel back alone is great I really like it, it makes the car louder with a little more depth but certain aspects still felt a little muted but paired with the downpipe it gave it all the depth it needed and couldn't be happier with both products. It will drone but its not bad. Would buy again. But next time around I'd start with the down pipe instead of the axel back.

AA axel back

Install difficulty- 4/10
Quality - 9/10
Sound - 7/10 by it self 8-9/10 with the downpipe

Install -
I have had zero experience prior working on cars and decide to call upon my free labor force to help me get it installed. Put the car up on ramps (worst idea ever). I would recommend a lift or jacking it up at the very minimum. It took us around 4 hours to do it but we were under prepared as hell and half the time was shooting the shit. We pre-assembled the exhaust outside of the car, then cut the stock exhaust off and transferred the rubber hangers and chucked her on. Overall if you half know what you are doing and have the proper tools its not hard at all.

Quality -
GAWD DAM I thought it was so pretty when I unboxed it but that is what I expected from Active Autowerke. The welds looked pretty good but I'm no welder. It has been installed for 4 months now and everything is still holding up perfectly haven't done a proper inspection yet though.

Sound -
I LOVE THE SOUND. It certainly makes it louder and have a little more depth but it did make the drone noticeably louder. Don't expect the gunshot pops but they definitely got louder. I really don't know how it explain it other than it got louder and added more depth. For some reason the upshift farts disappeared when it was installed though.

AA downpipe
Number 6 million AA downpipe review

Install difficulty- 4/10
Quality - 9/10
Sound - 9/10

Install -
Pretty straight forward there are tons of videos of it getting installed on the G42s and G20s. Honestly I just found it more annoying than anything. But otherwise fairly easy and straight forward. It was WAY easier installing the downpipe than removing the stock one.

Quality -
Given the amount of people that recommend the downpipe its great and they were not lying, build quality immaculate fit even better than the stock downpipe not much else to say honestly.

Sound -
THIS COMPLETED IT. The downpipe made such a big difference the depth it gave was insane. It is still fairly tame in the lower rpms but as soon as we are in the higher rpms OH SHE SCREAMS ITS BEAUTIFUL,but considerably louder. The burbles have so much more throat and depth, AND IT ACTUALLY POPS sometimes. The drone didn't change much it may have gotten a little bit louder but I really cant tell, I personally don't mind it though. But I'm really happy with how it sounds now.

Both were bought from mike@x-ph.com got the best prices from them.

I'll post sound clips and photos if I ever remember to take them.

EDIT- I bought the active cat not the GESI
