Extreme Sunroof rattle when closed? Anyone?
Starting around a month ago, the sunroof makes a very noticeable creaking noise even when going over the smallest of bumps. It does not do this when it is opened or titled.
Have an appointment scheduled for later this week. Anyone else come across this issue? |

Just noticed the same on my car- can’t remember if it did it last spring or not. I’m going to try putting some Gummi Phledge (rubber conditioner) on the seals. It worked on my last car when it had the same issue

Experienced only on one occasion - freezing rain covered the car one night. When I started driving the next morning, the whole car seemed to be creaking and cracking from all around.
Have not noticed anything else since that day. Never had a car do that before although under similar circumstances, so I was a bit shocked and surprised. |

Also, I use Gummi Pflege probably 2 to 4 times per year. Mine became noisy and this fixed it right up. Clean the rubber off with a mild detergent and water, let it try, then apply Gummi Pflege. It's hard to get it on one part of the seal. I access the front by sliding the glass back into the roof, then get the rest using the tilt function of the sunroof. |

I also coated the door seals. It keeps them shiny and supple feeling. I used to use CarPro Perl which is great for rubber. Both protect against UV and friction |

Was a bit surprised something like this requires all of that to be done. |

Took mine to the dealer to get this sorted as it was extremely annoying over bumps. They have cleaned and lubericated the seal and have installed adhesive tape as per service bulletin. It looks like a common issue by the looks of it.
I am happy to say that the problem is now solved and its nice and quiet for now. Work was done under warranty. |
