HI All,

I am kicking around some options if I decide not to wait around for my allocation and decide to buy an M2 off a dealer's lot.

My question is, if I found a 2024 M2 with 2,400 miles on it, I would still have the luxury of having the manufacturer's warranty, correct? Could I also purchase a BMW extended warranty as well? Please note the car is not being sold at a BMW dealership.

If the car is being sold at an Audi dealership is it considered BMW certified? I thought only the manufacturer could sell a certified car.

I didn't notice that was for certified sales, but from what I can see, at least factory warranty is transferable since that is tied to VIN and not an individual. Not sure about extended warranties though.

Every new BMW is covered by a limited warranty for defects in materials or workmanship for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Waited almost 10 months for my car as I was unwilling to compromise on color and options.

In hindsight a great decision, I’m driving the car I wanted.

I have two cars that are black…PA winters have ruined black cars for me.

You probably want to check the previous owner hasn't done anything to invalidate the warranty. Even running the LCI flash could have implication ( theres a whole thread on this in the tuning mods section).

I'm not in the US, but BMW allows us to do the extended warranty purchase thru the local dealers, as long as its before the 3 year factory warranty is up. Not limited to the first owner.
