Hi folks- update on my Voodoo blue G87 (silver wheels, 8spd, carbon package, upgraded headlights)

Order placed (111) - August 28th
Order accepted (112) - September 14th
Production begins (150) - January 28th

I'll keep folks updated as the process goes along, I was told the voodoo significantly pushed out production week as I was originally scheduled for a september week if I didn't pick voodoo.

From what BMW Genius has told me, once I hit 150, it should take about a week (two max) to finish assembly, then about 2-4 weeks to ship from Mexico to Northern California.

If anybody has more recent info on production time from 150 to complete then additionally how long shipping took I'd love to hear the numbers.. expecting a late feb early march delivery. Very excited, glad I waited out for voodoo instead of picking some flat free color

Production on my Voodoo Blue ended on Monday and it's been in Quality Control since. I spoke with BMW Genius yesterday and they said when it finally does leave the factory to expect 2-8 week wait at the port to get a ship. I originally ordered end of June 2024. My guess is sometime in April I'll finally get the car.

Yeah, they told me to expect 6 weeks waiting for a ship (finish build week 6) and 4 weeks once on boat.. I simply don't buy the wait times.
I doubt it sits at port for more than 2-3 weeks is what I've been seeing. I find BMW genius over estimates as to not have angry customers later

I think we're cooked unless the tariffs go away.

Side note: They weighed the car which is MT with carbon pack, and it came in at 3,735 lbs.

See attached. 3900 lbs it was with Sean in the car who weighs 165 lbs.

After a little over a week it just went to step 9. Automated system for BMW Genius says it was released to the carrier and is awaiting transportation to the exit port. I'm sure it'll probably be there for a while waiting for ship assignment.

Mine is at step 8 (Quality Control), how long did it take to go from 8-9 for you?

I called Genius today with my Voodoo Blue mid-Jan 2025 production #. Still showing 102 status online. They told me that the production week hasn't been confirmed but a Week 26 has been "requested". Seems like I will either get the last of the last of MY25 or the first of the MY26. If the latter hopefully VB is still an option in 2026 or I expect I will be screwed. Or tarrifs are in place then and I will be screwed. Lots of ways to get screwed!

I noticed you're also from Jersey. Which dealer did you order from? I'm also waiting on a Voodoo blue G87. I should have my car in 1-2 months.
