Montreal road trip in late March

I've got a few questions for locals. We've scheduled a week-long trip to Montreal, and we're probably going to drive from NY.

1. Can folks share any tips for driving near the city? (e.g. do's and dont's, front license plate requirement etc)
2. We're also looking for a safe parking space; we'll be staying in the Old Montreal area.
3. M2 or SUV weather-wise? If needed, I can slap some snow tires on either of them.

- Nothing special. Dont forget, on the Island of Montréal, no right turn are allow on a red lights.

- For a visit in the Old port of Montréal, a good place to park is the Public Parking at Chaussegros-de-Léry (330 Rue Champ de Mars, Montréal)

- Snow tires are mandatory for Québec plated cars only in the winter but not for you since you come from NY. Recommended if there's a lot of snow or ice when you come to Montréal.

Have a good stay in Montréal.

Very possible there is still snow in Montreal.. wouldn't risk driving with UHP tires. Not 100% sure but I think you cannot make a right turn on a red light?
