Hi all, I'll be upgrading to a G42 M240i this year and thought I'd get a head start on modifications I'm planning to do. I'll likely be starting with an exhaust system and have familiarized myself with the brands people tend to opt for such as Milltek, Dinan, Valvetronic, etc.

I'm looking for something with a deep tone and good fitment (i.e., exhaust tips don't stick out too much). Does anyone feel strongly about any of these brands or other systems? Thanks in advance.

I have the Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system on my G87 and it fits, sounds and best of all, performance is great. If cost is not a bother FiEXHAUST https://www.fi-exhaust.com/web/produ...D1669792210596 may be the a better choice (you will have to add their matching valve controller whereas it comes with the Valvetronic valved system.). Also keep an eye out if AWE comes out with theirs.

That's correct, we also offer a valve controller to offer more control over the valves. However, it's an optional upgrade. Our muffler and valves also integrate with BMW factory settings.

I recommend the Valvetronic exhaust. It's a full catback that starts with a single midpipe, keeping the clean stock sound but adding a lot of volume to it. It also uses 2 valves instead of 1 for the most balanced sound between comfort and sport.


in my opinion, that's one of the better designed exhausts on the market
