G87 Wheels - Cleaning Behind the Spokes
With all the brake dust, I find myself cleaning wheels every weekend, and this gadget is the ticket to getting in behind the spokes. Everything else cleans up with a wash mitt

The 930M wheels have really narrow spoke openings so yes, you need a tool. I run Apex wheels in gold that have larger openings between the spokes so I use a small towel to get to the barrels and between the spokes where they meet the barrel of the wheel.
Wheels take longer to wash than the actual car and i'm no spring chicken. I use one of these to sit on while doing each wheel since it takes a while.

The 1/2" or so gap behind each spoke around the outer rim is a pain in the ass to clean, so it looks like this tool is the ticket to easier cleaning! Much appreciated. -Tom

The brush the OP posted has a metal core center and the bristles appear to be stiff. I'd caution anyone from using these as they could scratch and mar your wheels and brake calipers. IMO you should invest in quality purpose made wheel cleaning tools instead.

I Use this for sliver 359s I have a small and big, personally just the big is fine since not as small openings
but strong enough to clean and soft enough not to scratch Black wheels might be more sensitive if not ceramic coated Reaches all the way to back and condenses small enough fits between caliper and wheel Bendable as well , https://a.co/d/cVPVPpA For what it’s worth Bought many and returned many only one I kept |

They are 100% easier to clean than the stock wheels as I like to make sure the barrels are nice and clean as well. I use a small cloth for the barrels, brakes, and spots that I can't reach when my normal wash mitt. Again, this takes longer to clean than the rest of the car, but with gold wheels, you can see dirt much easier than black wheels. Sure, it's a lot, but at the same time, it looks so damn good.

I've come to terms with the fact that removing the wheels is the quickest and best way to wash back there if you can do so. I have a nice aluminum harbor freight floor jack, corldess impact and non-marring socket. I can have a wheel off, cleaned and back on in 10 minutes flat. It's also the best way to clean 100% of the brake caliper. With the small amount that I drive I only feel the need to do this once a month.

I’m in the process of working with an engineer to prototype a new invention to make this easier. I actually came up with a novel concept that has never been done before. I believe it’s feasible to create. The engineer I’m working with is developing it in CAD and will be 3D printing it. We’ll then be seeking patent protection and deciding on a go to market strategy. Still months out but stay tuned! :-)
