How did they get a Java Green with a sunroof? The special order colors are only available with the carbon fiber roof.

I wasn't aware of that. I haven't been to the dealership yet to see the car myself, I only saw the car listed as incoming on their website and spoke to my CA about it briefly. They've got 4 M2s either in stock or inbound and they're all listed as sunroof, which I thought was odd. I guess the options listings are generic and/or lacking. It came in on a truck yesterday and I'll see it tomorrow when I go in.

The car started production yesterday.

I'm in California and the car is in MS.
It will cost a lut $2k to ship, which is about the discount I got on the car.
How do you find "cars that are in production"?

There are two in stock at the local dealer here in NW PA. They've been there for a bit too.

Some dealer websites will show cars that are in production and in transit.

Edit: For example https://www.circlebmw.com/new/BMW/20...c1a92e2365.htm

It says "In production" if you scroll down a bit.

Yes, this means the dealer had an available allocation and placed the order which was accepted by BMW. This resulted in a production number which is then used to track in the app.

Congrats!

What month is your allocation? Do you have build week?

I had a build week 6, picked up my car a week ago.

Wow man, you're on the last week of April I think? Going to depend on what your prod date is for the tariffs if they hold up until then.

May 1st is the Thursday of that week. Hopefully it all goes away before then.

That’s what I’m hoping. My only hope is that tariffs are rollled back by that point. No chance my car enters the US before the May 1 date. .

I was test driving cars last night. My CA said that as long as you lock in a build slot by end of April, your price is locked. Doesn’t matter if you take delivery 4 months from now, you’re good.

I was on the phone with BMW Genius, don’t think that car and driver article is valid. They had no idea about May 1st extension internally.

It's always gonna be a shit show.

At some point somebody's car is gonna show up with a delivery charge some # of thousands over what they expect and it will be a "surprise" to everyone. Some lucky folks may be able to negotiate it away by making a stink for the first few cars, then reality will set in and dealers will start to say "there's nothing I can do" and right around that time the tariffs will get lifted because a parakeet in mexico said "I love MAGA" and it went viral on xXx-twitter-xXx.com

BMW Genius phone help is almost always out of the loop. only info source worse are the dealer sales people.

BMW sent a bulletin to its dealers with the info about production date 1MAY cutoff. there are many press articles covering it. the quote is in several of the other threads on the topic in this forum.

I have a Java Green 6MT, essentially fully loaded with MPHAS arriving in just a few weeks. I was able to pick up a G99 in the meantime so will probably pass on the car.

Let me know if someone out there would like the car; I'll intro you to my CA.

They really are awesome cars...
