Not if you're sitting at idle at a stop light. Besides, loud pipes are taboo in Germany.

They're taboo here in Cali too, but. . . and at idle MY bike still makes noise.
The only question I missed on my M license testing, had no clue: Before applying the brakes, what is the first place you should look? Answer: Rear view mirror. |

The bike hd a Joshimura RS-5 slip on exhaust. Pretty loud pipe. I got pulled over by the german polizei once for the noise but once they saw that the bike had american plates on it they said it was ok. They explained to me that german riders can't have loud exhausts on their bikes but since I was american thay said there was no problem. They smiled and let me go.
