The HP 2140 .. 2GB RAM, 10.1" screen and a 92% full size keyboard. I picked it out for my mom, a bit on the expensive side for a netbook but it's the only one that is even borderline acceptable imo. Overall quality is great. Nice clear screen and nice keys.

I bought the Dell Mini 9 that came with 1GB DDR2 RAM. I had an extra 2GB stick here and upgraded it myself. Too easy.

After some research I think I've found the perfect one: Lenovo U350
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/c...ab-container-5 Its not a netbook because I've tried to type on a netbook at staples and it seems almost impossible to me, way too small and inconvienent |

How big of a screen?
My friend just got a Asus Eee PC 1000 (something like that). 10.1" screen, 9.5 hour battery life. He bought it for use at grad school. |

I was fortunate enough to get the dell mini 9 when they came out, i dont require great functionality out of it because it for just cruising at coffee shops and vacation...but i love it and havent had any problems with it..its very convenient , it starts up fast and shuts down fast, light weight...alot of people ask me about it
