Nightmare of Elm
Looks like I missed the fun, but I'll post 2 way different controlled light images just for fun.
This one we'll call.... "Nightmare of Elm" There has been no PShop manipulation other than res-ing to 800pixels, and minor unsharp mask and level correction. Very simple lighting... (2) 18K HMI lights with some 1/4 CTB gel sitting on a 40 foot condor. |

This one is a little more complex lighting wise... It took several tweenies, a few Babies, a leiko for some background depth, and a Kino 4x bank.
Cant really title this one.... |

Too funny...
Yes that is Robert Knepper (the guy from prison Break)... What I find funny is that no one notices/mentions the bigger star (in my opinion) who is in the background. |

Hhhhmmmmmm... Controlled light right? Well I can tell you where we were at shooting that night without light at 3AM in the morning, the shot would be pitch black and I definitely could not use an on-camera flash blasting a flood of light at the subjects to get this shot, rather a good number of various lights (tungsten and fluorescent) were used to get what I wanted from the shot. Also I had to employ gels, scrims and a few cutters to control the light and manipulate it the way I wanted it.
