Now this is my dream.

If I ever have $100k to blow on a toy, I'll be sending my defender to East Coast Rover for a restoration/Diesel Conversion..

Here is an example of their work.

I owned a FJ Curiser 4x4 for a while and off-roaded it extensively. It was a great vehicle on and off pavement. It would go anywhere a Wrangler could. You should also consider a FJC.

I use to own a 2005 Jeep wrangler X sport edition last year.

Couple things to mention:
5 speed 4.0L 6 cyclinder is mandatory. I drove a 4 cyclinder and it does not move at all. The 6 was pretty decent until i got a 4" raise with 33" tires. Then i felt the vehicle didnt move again. Youll really have to push it with 33" tires to move.

If you plan on raising it, its a total back breaker. Not comfy at all for an everyday vehicle. If you drive it 30-40 miles a day I feel sorry for you.

Offroading

My mothers cousin has a jeep and he mentioned to me the vehicle will go ANYWHERE. Im like right right...

We went offroading with 3 jeeps, and the car will literally climb ANYTHING or break its back trying. I've climbed obstacles that day that I thought were impossible. Biggest rush ive ever experienced, to the point where my feet were shaking with fear(climbing trails where your tires are literally 3 feet away from a 2000 feet drop).

I say get a 2002-2005 Jeep Wrangler, they are great and affordable.

Im looking for one again, its real tough finding a clean one. Should have never sold mine, it was too clean.

I had a wrangler back in high school through college. a 1990 6cyl 5spd, was basically a sport edition but they didn't have those designations those years. that car was a blast until the engine blew, never was the same afterwards.

once the time is right I really want a rubicon 4 door version, that is if that is still offered.
