Could be a 3erGT but I think hes hinting at the X4, which would likely be built alongside its X bretheren @ Spartanburg.
Looking at the video, the car does look pretty big compared to the guy who is bending over to fix something in the engine bay. Also if you notice, the car is sitting with its frame on the ground -- no wheels or running gear fitted, so it would likely be fairly tall once all that is fit.. To me all those signs point to some kind of X vehicle Unfortunatly the car is just too blurred to make any judgement beyond that IMO, all we can tell is the front bumper will feature protruding kidney grills and the brake ducts will look something like this |

BMW do this with all new models. There are several stages each model travels through from design to a testing development prototype. This stage determines that everything comes together and is a process that occurs with every new BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce , A car is milled from a block of aluminium in the same way a design model is milled from a block of clay or polystyrene. Just the basic outline is created for this purpose, specific detail is not necessary as it mainly focuses on the internal and external applications for the production car.
In a way this can be referred to as “Time Travel” because you step into another world of BMW , the BMW of the future because these models are post 2013/14. New cars which you have seen launched such as the 6er Coupe where created in the same way but a couple of years ago. The car you see being worked on but cleverly disguised for the viewer is something which is a couple of years away from production. The clue to the model is “Spartanburg” Hence why engineers are learning about the car for creating the production methods needed to build it.

A four and a two, just what we need. There has not been an 8 in a while. I am waiting for the 0 series.

looks good. I do find it hard to believe that BMW wouldn't be cutting sales from X3 and X5 by selling this.
If BMW sells an X1, X3, X4, and X5 - how can this make sense? are 3 4 or 5 on the same platform? Its not I don't believe it can make money, I just don't see how, enlighten me BMW talk strategy with us. |

Isn't it too low to be an X4? Look at the guys hips and the bonnet.

Can someone explain why the hell there is going to be yet another crossover model that fills a niche that may not even exist? How about they focus on their core models and Z4 a little more instead of these wannabe SUV abominations.

i find all these chops quite annoying as none of them are close to reality and 99% use recycled parts that are too obvious to anyone that follows bmws.
