Portal 2
So, who was wise and pre-ordered on Steam? There are so many things going down right now. There was a 292mb patch released not long ago, and this site just got some new content:
http://www.aperturescience.com/a/b/c/d/g/h/abcdgh/ Any thoughts? Signs are pointing to a Friday early release, or possibly a huge demo.

Looking forward to it. Never pre-ordered a game in my life.
Hopefully I'll have some time in a month or two to get through it. Got all the achievements in portal, one of the hardest games to do so in. |

Nice. I only have 12/15, missing the challenges based ones obviously.

Well I beat it a couple days after launch, still waiting on my coworkers to beat it so I can play some co-op. Still not sure how I feel about the overall game. It was fun, but the puzzles felt more chaotic and forgiving. What I mean is, I didn't feel quite as proud solving the puzzles, because it seemed like some of them were just by chance. For example, I'd walk into a room in Portal 2, and it would just seem daunting, and I would have to study it for awhile until I discovered the solution. In Portal 1, I would start to solve it only to run into a brick wall and realize my approach was all wrong.
I do have to say I'm enjoying the ending song after a couple listens, it didn't seem as catchy at first but now I love it.

There were a few areas that confused the hell out of me, one off the top of my head was Chapter 4, room 19. It took me a while before I realized that I was making the jumping more complicated then it needed to be. Once I got past that, figuring out the room itself was cake. I felt dumb, lol.
I'm on Chapter 7 I think now, took a break, waiting for PSN to start back up. |

I've played thru it on PS3, both single player and Co-op. If you anyone needs a co-op partner on PS3, let me know.

Anyone got the game on PS3? Add me as a friend with my ID: WaiPWNS. We could play a game, but I just wanted to join co-op and hug you. Apparently, if I do that to 5 people (PSN only), I get a trophy. So close to getting a platinum!

Its only 3 people, but you can add me: Sylon08 I only have 2 left, Professor Portal (to play with someone who hasn't played before) and the one that you have to get thru course 4 without dying. I made it all the way to the last chamber before botching that one up. |
