My 2024 finished production 08/22/2023. It has been sitting at Ready For Transport since 08/25/2023. Today when I looked, it said Ready for Transport 2024. Does that mean it is not planned to ship until 2024? I am approved for Performance Delivery and vehicle status is 165 according to BMW Genius.

Allocation was July 15, it was scheduled for Week 38 so Week of Sept 18-20.

Seems they just started appending the year in the last few hours. Mine earlier did not have it but does now. It appears they are just denoting the MY23 vs MY24 not delivery year.

Looks like just a coding error, because it used to say 2024 on the line above M2 Coupe and below status. So MY just got pulled up a line.

They just appended model year to the headline, don't worry. I have "Important: Safety Recall 2015" etc in my garage.

I just called Genius hotline today and they told me production is scheduled to finish tomorrow (9/7), however the tracking status on the website still stays in the production begin stage. Does it mean there is some delay?

No the online tracker is generally delayed, your CA (sales person) will have the most up to date info.

I see, thanks. I called the CA at least 3 times and he always said he was not with his computer and would look up and get back to me, always 0 follow up. Guess I just have to call him again

I think it really depends on the step, assembly steps seem to be pretty on point but anything involving the boat tends to be off, I have heard people say their car made it to the dealer but still show "Ready for Transport"

Once it leave port the tracker seems to be up to date.

Put down a deposit in May 2023, got my allocation sometime last month (my CA quit and no one told me). Got assigned a week 38 build. VIN assigned today and it's listed as production begins!

Production queue starts around 2 weeks before your scheduled production date so that seems to line up. The next few steps will fly by, may hit quality check even before your actual production date, then likely wait at final assembly or ready for transport for a bit.
