Just to provide some extra data points for the anxious. I got my order in on July 18th. It's been in 111 status since. Today I sent an email to the BMW genius email address to ask for an approximate build week. They told me the week of 10/23. I have the carbon pack on order and I have a hunch that's part of the reason for the long lead time.

I didn't know the genius people provided status via email. What is that email address that you used?

They’re currently two ships moored in Vera Cruz. The Grande Mirafiori and the Toscana. Anyone know where there are headed?

Well in a twist of fate my sa messaged me that my build moved to last week of November back from last of January…

I think the carbon buckets are starting to come in.

Status 165 "in transit". I'm assuming that an Arizona destination means the car will come over the border soon.

I got my allocation end of July and was a Week 38 build, got moved UP to Week 37, and the car is being built today and current showing in Quality Check. So they are moving I am curious to see how long it takes from here.

GRANDE MIRAFIORI is at Veracruz Port, but it hasn’t sent out a location for 16 days. The only US port call I can see it made was Jacksonville. Otherwise, it has mostly been over in European waters.

TOSCANA is at Veracruz Port, but hasn’t sent out a location for 23 days. The only US port call I can see it made was Galveston. Otherwise, it has mostly been in the Central/South America waters.

Even in AZ, I believe they’re shipped in by boat to California port, then trucked from there. I could be wrong. If they go by rail then that’s awesome.

They rail west to a port on the western port f Mexico then they ship up to Oxnard, CA. From there they will truck here to AZ.

Mine has been sitting on "Final Assembly since 3 weeks ago but when I checked with dealer, he told me it is produced and shipped. Not sure if it actually is on the ship though.

Another Zonie? I’m in the same boat as you hopefully. Still have never seen one in the wild here in the valley. Hopefully I don’t until I’m in mine.

It looks like both of those ships are in route to Galveston, TX. Not sure if they’re going up the east closet from there…

I’ll see if I can find it. I did locate the Adria Ace that is a vehicle carrier and it’s headed to Baltimore ETA 9/16.

Edit- I have no one idea if BMW uses this ship.

Haha, there are a good handful of folks on here going full McNutty!

A good rule of thumb for those getting frustrated with the delays - take the amount of time you think it will take for your car to get here, triple it, and do your best to forget you even ordered the car in the first place. Then, one day in the distant future, you will be pleasantly surprised when your car arrives.

Still have only seen 1 here in the valley out in the wild. Was a TR one in the south mountain area and he's also a member on here.
