I don't believe so, I mean it's a given that some folks are going to bitch no matter what is presented to them because this is the internet and everyone has a megaphone but if BMW had conservatively create an evolution to the F87, instead of trying to mess with a formula that worked just fine, I believe a lot of folks that are actually interested in this vehicle would of been ok with it.

Me, personally, I know this is not just implicit bias on the new model because the last couple of M cars that was release, even the ones I had no interest in remotely owning, I was instantly impressed with what I saw - this one is going to take some warming up to.

You can really see the soft lines and edges in the G87 compared to the clean sharp ones on the CS. It's a completely different design philosophy. The latter has the philosophy of movement and looking fast standing still. The former... soft... bulky... but unrefined??

On the F87 you gut had to add a few carbon bits and thr car looked perfect.

I can't even imagine the $ I would have to sink into this G87 to make it look on the same!

What we are looking at is the Comp. You can see the carbon bucket seats.. Also, take a note the car does not wear the anniversary badging.. Which then makes me skeptical of this car is real meaning that if it's from this time or is this photo two years old.

I don’t understand the lack of anniversary badging but I don’t think they’d show a car from 2 years ago in what looks to be an unveiling setting, with the M logos and flooring etc.

It all looks as if it’s set for a reveal.

Agree but it will be because it has zero competition with RWD, manual transmission, less than $70k with nice BMW level interior and materials. Many people will compromise up to a point of their styling tolerance.

For me, this color is awful, front end is fine and aggressive (headlight shape less so), profile is great, wheel design my favorite, rear is weak and don't like the lack of vents. Hoping some new photos improve the rear.
