I have discovered once again that I can control the local weather. Had too much money in my health FSA that was about to be "use it or lose it" lost, so I ordered a crazy pair of prescription glasses with every coating known to man on the lenses. I have my doubts that the auto-tint function will work through a car's windshield, and want to test it to see. The glasses came in on Tuesday morning. The sun hasn't been out for one second since.....

And even with the AC running non-stop since this morning the house has still gained 6-7 degrees. |

It's a one story, but we have high ceilings in 2/3rds of the house. With AC you can't go too big, or else it doesn't pull enough moisture out of the house.
It's just the way it is here in the summer. Even right before the sun comes up it's still around 80F here. So it just runs. That's why I pay for the guys to come do maintenance checks 3x a year. Two years ago the better half went to visit her parents and the AC died. All the fans and windows open it still got to nearly 88 inside the house. Pretty miserable. |

Just hoping the rain holds off long enough to let the roofers finish installing the membrane for our new roof today.
