There’s still going to be jobs for ev. Maintaining the machinery for battery swaps. Making sure inventory is there. There’s still brakes and tires and wiper blades!!!

I have faith in our future!!

We’ll see as we get closer. I know it seems laughable now that it won’t work but the automotive history has always proven consumers wrong on whatever innovation happens. It always works out.

This one will too. When we get closer to 2030 we’ll see how serious this gets. It’s exciting!

If those friends test drive a Model S Plaid then they are going to tell Rowan to pound sand.

Everything is going to be fine. Ireland has plans to slaughter 200,000 cows in order to help save the planet.

We must be in the midst of some galactic simulation. Has to be.

That's OK soon we won't have any gas stoves to cook the Burgers or Steaks.
The decomposition of animals doesn't give off anything that would harm the environment, don't cha know.

EV's now cost more to run than equivalent petrol vehicles over here with soaring by the minute electricity prices and on average EV's are TWICE as heavy as their fuel equivalents leading to more road wear and potholes.

It's almost like those that predicted this outcome knew what they were talking about. Almost...

increased demand for services and scarcity = higher cost. Who knew

On it's face, this claim is utterly ridiculous.

Model S plaid: Curb Weight : 4932 lbs / 2237 Kg

M5 Base: 2023 Base 4,345 lbs. V8

In a drag race, the Plaid will murder the M5. TWICE as heavy?

Maybe when you add up all the cars and compare the EV's to the econoshitboxes, maybe. But same external size and application? No way.

Maybe not twice the weight but significantly heavier. This causes me concern when it comes to damage in crashes and increased stopping distance for heavier vehicles. Interesting article here.

^ They changed the heading since I put it on but as you say EV's are significantly heavier than their fuel counterparts and you don't want one of these coming close to you coming the other way if you have a fuel car.

What about dump trucks, buses, 18 wheelers Rv’s guess you are not worrying about them? Their brakes are dog shit as well. Rather get hit by a Tesla than any of those fuckers.

Not the same thing, yes they are heavy af as well, but the difference is, many of these behemoths on the road can't accelerate like a Tesla.
Also, many of these drivers (maybe not the RVs and caravans) don't have the host of 'self driving' tech either and require the driver to actually be paying attention. Tesla drivers on the other hand....
