And thanks for the encouragement. Now let’s start a petition so we don’t have to have front plates. 😎

Bit of an update in the interest of documenting things that may be useful for future member orders.
Given that my M2 has been stuck at the New Jersey VPC with an open work order for over 3 weeks with no progress or details, I finally managed to escalate and create a case with BMW NA. I did that by pushing the BMW Genius to escalate to a supervisor. In any event, immediately got the email below, hopefully they will come back with at least an answer for what is holding up delivery. "....As a follow-up to your conversation with BMW of North America, LLC, this email is to notify you that your case has been forwarded to our case management team. You can expect a call from a Case Management Specialist in approximately one to five business days...." Happy M2 driving, to all who have received their cars.

Would love to hear the outcome myself. I was also almost a month at the VPC, but alignment sheet definitely doesn't account for all of it. My hunch was waiting for other cars to transport, but I didn't follow up.

This is depressing to hear Baron! If there's damage, that must be reported to the dealership if it's over a certain threshold, like $3k or something. I wonder if there's a parts sourcing issue at the port for whatever is not working, and takes time to have one shipped in? Imagine if it's waiting for a part shipped from Altamira again 🤯

Anyway - I am really sorry and wish there was anything any of us could do. We are all well aware of the shit show that has been BMW logistics for this window in time so I'm not sure this is THAT surprising. Hopefully you get some answers very soon!

So the escalation produced some action, but I think it’s just someone from BMW NA saying to the VPC “make sure this is done this week”. Not sure it will actually happen. I’ll keep you posted. *** Thanks everyone for the supportive and kind words. The saga continues 😎

Snagged my new ride last Tuesday at the PCD — it was worth the anticipation! The Performance Center Delivery was a blast. Got to unleash the M2, and let me tell you, it's a beast. After some fun, I wrapped my car with XPEL Tracwrap and embarked on a 600-mile joyride to NJ. Surprisingly, everything has exceeded my expectations. Had a few worries from forum chatter, but turns out they were just rumors. Only downside? The gas tank size. Still have more break-in miles to complete but looking forward to letting her rip. But sadly I am dropping her off for PPF, tint, and ceramic coating today. Which means more waiting....

Little update on my, now nearly 3 months old, M2.
After 24 days (18 working days to be fair) at the NJ VPD, the HAS work order completed on the 15th and it was released to the carrier on the 15th. Genius and dealer have no other info, other than should arrive soon. The status on the site still says at the port, so did not flip to In Transit yet. With my luck it will arrive right after we depart for our Xmas trip (less than 72 hrs from now). But at least it is out of the VPC hold. The other M2 in the group waiting for HAS install has also been released/delivered. So, I'll probably the only pending M2 in the group. Lucky me

Looks like we may see a fair number of G87s on track in the near future. That is not something we saw with the F87 generation.
