The worst decisions ever made were 7 Long Island Iced Teas one crazy night and a Tequila binge after a sales school graduation.

Mad Dog!!!
My worst was post-finals at UCSB. The Graduate called it "countdown" At 4, drinks were fourfor1. At 5 they were threefor1. . . Well, being diabetic, I couldn't really drink that many regular margaritas, so I told them hold the ice/mixer. Next morning my RA took me to the hospital because I couldn't stop barfing. Turns out I had burned the lining of my stomach. Dr.: What were you drinking? Me: Teq - mmm. Tequi- mmmm RALPHHHHHH. Dr.: You can't even say the word? Me: Sure I can, Tequila. They gave me something to slow down my acid build-up, and then an IV to hydrate me. I remember wanting to get out so I could go watch the Vikings play. Started to walk out of the hospital and almost fell down. Back inside for another bag of saline before I could leave. Left my dorm room pretty much barfed-up for the 2 weeks of Christmas, came back with enzymatic spray once it opened up again. I don't think my roommate ever forgave me. To this day, I STILL enjoy tequila, just much more slowly. |

My family had our winter place in Daytona, and I used to spend two weeks every March down there for spring break. Shot 3-4 rolls of 35mm film every day, and captured a few drunken accidents and "balcony pancakes" among the normal debauchery. Unfortunately, I keep those photo albums in a file cabinet drawer at work, so I can't get at them for a while.....

LOL - I was reading that waiting for the "That was the last time I drank Tequila!" When I left my first real "professional" jobs (I was like 24-25??) one of the VP's had a kids event that night, but we were pretty tight so he came by for a few minutes. I'd already been pounding free drinks from everyone and he bought 10 shots of Tequila and said "I gotta go - get up" and we did 5 shots each (back when they poured "shots" in a highball glass, so they were probably 2-3 oz each) and we went bang-bang-bang-bang-bang and high fived and he said good bye and left. I had always loved tequila. When I was 21 I was working the late shift for a lady who went out on maturity leave and when I got off at 11-11:30 I'd catch up with my buds at the bar and bang out 5-6 and be caught up with them in short order. Not tonight. When those hit my already booze soup filled gut - I knew I had made a huge mistake. I fought it for as long as I could, but I finally had to go out back and purge.....to the howls of encouragement from everyone in the bar. By the time my GF at the time got there about 7pm to "party all nite" with me - I was a pile of liquid goo in a booth. 2 people helped her get me into her car and I didn't get out of bed except to puke for 3 days. Even smelling tequila now sends a huge shutter down my spine and I just can't do it. Not even in a margarita. My good friend now's life passion is finding people too drunk to say no and pouring shots down them till they puke. Even strangers. He says no matter if he has me folded up like a lawn chair in the floor - even then - I will still flat refuse a tequila shot. He tries it every time though. Why do we look back so fondly at these moments of utter stupidity?

I really don't drink beer any more, but that's because it just kills my stomach, and later the gas is too much for even me. I had a cold one Saturday evening, but I'd been in the yard since 6:30, and cold suds just sounded SOO right. Dog slept on my wife's side of the bed Saturday night |

You left out the part about how our Veteran '...then found religion and became a gentler kinder soul' (hence the fact that the perp gets to stand for a mug shot, instead of a toe tag). Or perhaps it was just that his wife said something about not staining the carpet too badly?
