I haven’t read all 100 pages.

VisualEcho what did you end up deciding on the investment? How is it working out?

I do stocks, and I'm not sure how I'd diversify that much at the moment. But right now, I sure as hell wouldn't be buying Facebook stock with the looming anti-trust suit...

I had an old AIKI sell price alert set for $1.80, from RMTT's stuff last year. It just went off, because AIKI is up over 47% today as I write this. I'm not holding any, and see no news causing the spike on a cursory search.....

Looks like someone else on Reddit is a fan of St Jude’s too, just thought I’d share this since it’s your charity of choice (not my donation but if my shares hit their limit sell at $420 I’ll make one to St Jude’s).

GME @ $230 and climbing in after-hours....

Cancelled my limit sells. This shit is gonna hit $1,000+. Some people are speculating $2,000 even. Hard to predict the top but I'll probably sell towards lunchtime on Friday.

That’s just batsh!t crazy lol
I’ve been back and forth thinking of going in to make a quick buck but I think it’ll drop so I’ll back out. Any analysis is basically out the window and really just need to go in on sentiment at this point lol.

@2k/share... that brings their valuation to what, 139 billion?

There will be a lot of new investors bag holding when this drops. FOMO is kicking in but I’m not touching it. Going to watch from sidelines.

I was debating on throwing a few pennies at AMC earlier today, texted a friend about it, but by the time we finished some work stuff and got to chatting about it, it had already jumped another 20%.

I'm still debating on it as the next short squeeze play but it is nowhere near as bad as GME and I think GME will be a big expensive lesson to the Wall Street funds. AMC will spike as people transition their GME gains over but will not appreciably gain much (quick short term profit but that's it, and probably < 100% gains).

BB, on the other hand, I think has some interesting future prospects that have been raised for a long term hold. I plan on a buy and hold play there, supplementing my FOMO with calls along the way.

Again, disclaimer though - I'm not an advisor, quant, or anything else, so don't take anything I say as financial advice merely friendly discussion at a (hopefully) level above your average Joe Schmoe. I consider it educated gambling with better odds than a casino and the ability to stack the deck in your favor a bit, but that doesn't mean it can't all go sideways in a hurry.

So I placed an order last night for market but there was post market action that went up a bit. I was using my remaining cash that's sitting on the account but it bought the same shares I placed order on but at double the price so does that mean I have to put more money in the account or how does it work? Sorry if it's confusing.

Let say I placed order on a stock at 500 shares @ $8 last night, then the market opened and it bought 500 shares @ $16. The account only had $4k in it but the order went through at $8k.

If you bought these in cash you need to settle the cash balance or sell those shares back.

^ NEVER use a market order, particularly for these very volatile stocks!!!! A market order simply buys or sells at the current market price and in this case the price had risen of tigermack bought at a much higher price. Use Limit orders to control at what price you buy or sell...

Thanks, I got it taken care of, I wasn't sure if there'd be fees/interests so I just did it.

I get it but you just paid 100% more than what you were expecting to pay for the stock. As long as it keeps going up...

My "slow and steady" Schwab account is up 70%...thanks to me taking an active hand in it over the last year.

My 401k is "up" like 10%, if that.

My Roth IRA is "up" like 5%.

....My Robinhood "play money gambling" account is up 422%. I started with $3,000 in it last February and it's sitting around $65k right now. I'm aiming for $100k+ with GME. It was up about 280% even before the GME play. And I've barely even started getting into thetagang plays, wheeling, or anything else.

And my account is chump change. There are people putting 6-figure play bets on GME that are like 5% of their account. Several have already posted their gains porn - $500k on GME @ $20 that's now worth millions, etc.

So....yeah. Wall Street "Bets", but with considerably better odds than a normal casino, because you can shift the odds with enough reading. It's like counting cards, but simultaneously easier / harder.

Just think of the productivity lost from millions of homeworkers simply staring at AMC, GME, NOK and BB all day rather than doing their day job.
