I doubt it. They prob add dual charging. One lightening for faster reg charging and one wireless (i.e. Apple Watch) charging to charge while using headphone. And/OR waterproof (i.e. Apple Watch 2) faster chip and a new anniversary color. That's prob it. They'll add tech that they've already introduced in other products and make it just a little different for case makers to make money

AMOLED.....that's the next step for Apple, and it has to be. Samsung has had it and that's why their displays look leagues better than an iphone when compared side-by-side.

"Leagues better" if you like unnatural and over saturated colors. AMOLED is also much more susceptible to burn in. If Apple moves to this it will be because it's thinner and consumes less power, not because it looks better.

Amoled would be great. I miss the dark blacks from my Nexus 6P.

Wireless charging, while convenient, is horrible for a battery in most implementations. The battery gets too hot.

Fast charging I also miss from my 6P

AMOLED, wireless charging, waterproof, no physical home button (it's built into the screen), edgeless display, curved screen......Those are some of the rumors.

This is yet another reason I snagged a 6S yesterday. So far, I really like it. Didn't realize until I started using it that I really did miss the screen size from my Android days. Went ahead and signed up for every year Next so I can snag a 7S if I feel like it in a year.

OtterBox Commuter. Never let me down and I am clumsy as hell. Had three of them for three different phones. They always honor their warranty and are quick about it (overnight replacement).

Although I voted no and had no intentions of upgrading to the 7 since Verizon is basically giving it for free (as long as you don't plan on switching carriers any time soon) I ended up going for the 7.

I thought long and hard about going 7+ so it would feel somewhat different than the 6, but that shits just way to big. I know I would regret it later when I can't use it with one hand, doesn't fit in car charger, gotta carry that bitch around etc. Only thing I'm really missing out on is the dual camera which honestly I'm not sure how often I would use. All I use the camera for is to document everything I eat for posterity anyways.

I am like you in that I wasn't sure about the plus. I broke it down into a pros and cons list:

Pros:
- Watching videos while running on the treadmill, on a plane, while traveling in general (much nicer on the bigger/higher res screen)
- Better device for flying the drone
- Camera
- Battery life
- Potential future Apple Pencil/pressure stylus integration (sketching, etc.)
- Video/Photo editing (bigger screen)

Cons:
- One handed use
- Cumbersome

For car purposes, I ended up ordering this: http://www.shapeways.com/product/AMN...i=shareProduct

I already have a cupholder dock but this one is designed specifically for the Plus. Should be a nice integrated solution similar to what I have today.

Overall I think I will be happy with the Plus, and if not, its only a year before I can upgrade again so I am not too concerned about it!

Honestly, I am very surprised at ios10 so far... I installed it on my 6 and shockingly somehow it feels faster. They fixed a few good things. The new Ios has a much better design and the retarded flat interface is gone, it feels like an expensive phone again. A lot of neat additions to messages as well.

As much I want to get IOS 10, I strongly believe that it will slow down my 6SP. I'm afraid I will lose my great battery life.

When I had the iPhone 4,5,6, I would upgrade to the new IOS and I would notice an immediate decrease in performance and battery life.

With that said, I think people and the world in general are over having the next big thing. The market has matured and eventually the smartphone will go the way of the dodo to be replaced by something else.

I don't like it. Lock screen is annoying. Unlocking phone is an annoying process now. Overly large buttons/fonts/icons. Keyboard doesn't work like 5% of the time. Feels glitchy. Notifications/widgets too large and bubbly feeling.

Yeah that's the thing for me I don't use my phone much other than as a phone and for checking emails occasionally and as a camera. I'm on my computer most of the time so I don't really use it for video etc. For me the only pro was really the camera and just feeling like I got something different than what I've had for the past 2 years.

However also if I went to the plus I would have to pay about $120 since its more $$ than Verizon will give me. So between the 32GB pro or the 128GB none pro I just went for the bigger size which was ultimately a bit cheaper also.

The way I see it having never had a plus I won't know what I'm missing anyways.

Typically, I would agree and I never updated my phone before... but this update seemed worthwhile and I was right... It seems also to be the only update ever that hasnt slowed anything down.
