Just finished watching as I had a round of golf this morning

It was a great race to watch.

To me no idea why Max was pushing so hard in his last few laps prior to the failure. He was up over 5 seconds with 5 laps to go..could have eased off instead of setting fastest laps and possibly the tires would have held.

Great drive by Checo, even better drive by SEB and happy for GAS to be on the podium again.

HAM with a big mistake, seems to be showing some cracks in the armour this year.

Just have to add this as just watching the podium...Max is classless, teammate on the podium and National anthem playing and the clown has his hat on. Only one in the crowd wearing a hat, and the camera crew zoomed in for good measure. Idiot!

I've been traveling. Tampa to Miami and back to Tampa in 8 hours.

The race was unreal. I only saw the last part from the STR crash. All I can say is that NOTHING can be taken for granted in F1.

I appreciate the fact that Max was trying hard but after STRs tire failure he should have been banking time and not going for FL. He's racing for a championship, not a single point. He could have put a serious hurt on Sir Lewis today.

As far as Sir Lewis goes...that was a completely anomalistic triggering of the Brake Magic switch. Engineering needs to move it now.

All in all a great weekend for Checo and RBR. Bad luck for Max but when you have a 6+ second lead with 4 laps to go, bring it home. Screw Fastest Lap.

Severe damage limitation for Lewis.

Terrible weekend for Mercedes and huge loss of points.

BOT must go. I'm resisting calling him SLOTAS because it's disrespectful to a driver who has achieved such success in his overall career, but it's getting harder each day.

According MAX : Today Hamilton and I didn't scored points regarding the incidents .
But today I'm losing points anyway ... more advantage in the drivers ranking would have been nice .Because I know the coming races are Mercedes tracks .

My friend, he should have been going nowhere near the fastest lap. He should have slowed the car by 1 sec per lap with Checo slowing by a similar amount and walked to the finish. He'd have a 14 point lead against Lewis had he done so and the tire not failed.

Where did I make is sound that way? Read the words I used.

I questioned him putting in fastest laps at the end of the race when there was a failure from another car earlier in the race. Putting in fastest laps is not cruising. Cruising would be losing .75 to 1 sec per lap with Checo acting as rear gunner protecting Max's WIN. This is how you win championships.
