In case it’s helpful for the 193 crew with cars that landed at Southampton today, wondering how long it might take for your car to get to your dealer: the demo car now at Vines Guildford arrived in Southampton on Wednesday 31st May, and turned up at Vines on Friday 9th June. So 9 days including a weekend - the equivalent from today would be Thursday 29th June…

Cheers! Some other insights from 'Skender'.... The cars will go through customs and then PDI and will leave the port at status 195 and will arrive at the dealer at 198.

Hmmm. My sales guy just phoned to say there’s a cockup with the info the chat tells us, and my car isn’t in Southampton and won’t be here til sometime in July, who knows when. Not convinced he’s right & chat’s wrong, but hey.

Chat’s still saying it’s in Southampton but delayed to July 10.

Things are getting increasingly surreal. On the back of your post I went on Genius. I’m still at 165, but since yesterday my delivery date is now this week having previously been next week

Well according to the chat service my car has passed through customs.... Still at 193 so you have to ask the question.

I think they’re just making it up on the chat now. Mine was due at dealer w/c 26th June yesterday, then 10/7 this morning, and just now 26/6 again. Hasn’t cleared customs yet.

Must stop checking! A watched pot etc…

Genius update today. Delivery now the 5th of July, the 3rd change. Airbag control unit fix and won’t be shipped until completed. Was supposed to be today, then Monday now another week.

I’ll pop done & quiz my dealer about what he said yesterday (about the chat having inaccurate info) and report back. Anyone else heard similar?

He hasn’t said so but it’s quite choppy from the chat I have to say. Why would they wait until being stored at the docks to make the airbag change 🤷🏻‍♂️

My sales guy wasn’t in (I always forget which day he’s off!), but they’ve M-Performance’d up their M2 demo. I was v tempted to take it out for a spin, but must resist…:)

It's just a case of logistics and quite common. It's preferable to get the car on the boat en route to it's destination and update the software on arrival.
