As far as the tariff goes, even though I placed my deposit one year ago, 3/4/2024 and received my allocation and placed my order on 8/1/2024, I will not hesitate to walk away if they even try to add anything to the price I signed off on.

Same. My build started on 1/3 and mine has been RFT since 2/7.

A non-CS M2 at $96K is a bit funny. Will lose quite a bit of value fast.

Those with early Feb RFT dates and heading for east coast may be loading up onto ship now. MV Grand Mercury is in port loading at Altamira. Due into Baltimore 11March. Not sure of other port calls.

welp....apparently the 25% tRump tax on Canadian and Mexican imports WILL go into effect tomorrow.

So glad BMW let the car I ordered sit at the factory since 23JAN. Not going to get to the US before tomorrow.

Markets immediately started tanking and stand by for inflation.

Interesting to see if this will hit our cars. BMW has a large production plant run in the US too maybe they can avoid the tariffs. Mine has been in RFT for a few weeks as well.

I am in the semiconductor industry, tariffs of 25% have been on for ages and (COO of China) customers have been paying extra 25% ever since…. Great strategy by someone who could not even keep casinos afloat

My order has been pushed back due to a shortage with the carbon seats, boooooo.

The gentleman handling my order says he doesn't anticipate the tariffs having an affect on it. This leads me to believe that if we ordered pre-tariff, BMW is going to honor the price one way or another. Fingers crossed.

I think they're going to say this until they have direction from BMW NA. Dealerships aren't in the business of scaring their customers off. My CA also says it's still business as usual, but I definitely think it's not going to be. Though I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Part of me hopes that BMW will eat the cost of cars already produced for customers. We shall see.

While I unfortunately dont believe a BMW dealership sales associate has any inkling of how geo politics will affect the global auto market industry, I also hope this is the case since my build is literally in final assembly this week. Would love to get the car by the end of next month without it costing any more than my cost sheet says.

He's a little higher up the totem pole than a sales associate, so I'm hoping his words are well-founded and not just meaningless conjecture. We shall see.

If they come back and say "sorry, its another $5-7k on top," how many of us are backing out?

My dealer said it would be loaded into delivery costs, so we’ll have fun paying another $20kk… which to be clear I will not be doing.

It's confirmed, 25% tariffs starting tomorrow on all goods imported from Mexico and Canada. Feel bad for anyone that hasn't received their car yet.

Jeez, my build was $76,195. Add 25% and you get $95,243.75. The value proposition there is going to be tough.
On the other hand, how much was a F87CS? Around that price right? The G87 is a better version of that car, so really, that sort of falls in line to what the car could have cost if BMW wanted it to.
Still, my prediction is sales halt until this is resolved. I don't think anyone is going to pay an additional 25% markup on a car that will eventually not have the import tax sooner than later.

Stay strong brothers and sisters and wait it out! You got this! The tax will eventually be dropped and you will get your cars then.
