I think it's a good continuation of the 2 series. And at the risk of being banned (like I was from G80 forums bc I was apparently "trolling" or whatever justification they used), I wish the G80 would have followed a bit closer to the older design and stayed closer to the traditional design as they did here. I'm pleased to see something closer to previous models. I guess I'm a Old fashion when it comes to Bmw
I'll have to wait for the M2 but as of right now it's pretty decent. |

Not dreaming, since the M2c ended production the value of M2c's has gone up 5-8k in my area.

It’s like night and day. The F22 was always plain, tall narrow and ungainly in my eyes.

I passed on an opportunity to trade my 2018 M2 DCT for a 2021 M2C manual because I was going to get the new one when it came out, assuming there would be a stick.
Someone shoot me. |

Definitely agree. One looks like the rental car you get upgraded to after finding out you have some unused reward points on your credit card. The other looks like an actual sports coupe.

well it's the truth, go through Autotrader, pretty much every car type/brand had an increase in price. That doesn't necessary mean increase in value.
has nothing to do with any model release or whatever... let's be real If you have a car that is serial production and you drive it, your value goes down. Nowhere else. Limited production runs like the old 1M Coupe is a very very rare exception. It's just funny how those posts flood in every time a new model is released. I remember all the F82/F80 value increase dreams when the new ones were released. c'mon... |

I'm not saying the M2C is not a great car.
I'm actually thinking about getting a manual M2C or CS if I don't like the new M2 myself... because I'm a bit disappointed in the new 2er... And I also don't want to get into politics so i could've probably skipped the "Biden" and just have called it inflation... but the Gas prices suck too... xD |

I like it. In my opinion it looks better than the previous gen F22 (not F87). It's less bland, more muscular and chiseled. Nicer interior. I'm excited, can't wait to see the next gen M2. Something to look forward to, after the disappointing aesthetics of the new M3/M4.

I agree with this notion - I think those could be easily modified to make the car look great, yet different, than the F series 2er.
Not a fan of the triangular vents on the 240, and the rear is a bit of a mess, but I think those are things that the G87 can "get right" if that makes sense.

I'm not sure that's the case, at least in the current environment. Used cars, especially in a niche market, are going for record prices at the moment.
For example, one of our local Porsche dealers has actively been trying to buy back my 981 BGTS, and at a price point similar to what I paid almost two years ago.

What i'm saying is that that's a market development that has nothing to do with how a new model looks. |
