There are three boats all due to the UK in a 3 week period so I’m certain it’s on one of them!

Sadly it’s pushed back my expected delivery date from week 11 to week 14, which makes me think it’s on Sirius Highway as that’s due to Southampton on 10th March. I know my CA wants delivery in March so it goes into Q1 numbers so hopefully he can pull some strings.

Got you.

I was told that once the vehicle is actually on the ship, the timing is a bit more predictable. So if they pushed delivery, it may be a pretty good guess...which means Q1 would be missed.

But, who knows?

I am *REALLY* hoping that my car is on one of the three ships already underway.

If your car went to 165 on the 13th February, you’ll have missed those three sailings, so next possible ship would be the Hamburg Highway on the 21st March
Thanks for this! Seems like my car is on the Hamburg Highway, as the only info I have is that it shipped out around 20th Jan. Gives me hopes for March collection Although all EU cars go to Austria first I think?

EU cars would either be offloaded in Bremhaven or Zebrugge, not sure which.

UK cars are now offloaded in Portsmouth directly

Yes I think it's Bremhaven, but after that? The dealer told me something about transport to Austria and then to them (Czech Republic). I will check with the dealer next week or the week after, as it could be probably off the ship that week.

It’ll be unloaded from the ship in Bremerhaven, after that the car disappears into the black hole of car logistics, you’ll have an indeterminate amount of time until it will appear at your dealership and it’s highly likely no one will know where it is (outside of it being unloaded in Bremerhaven)

Tracking cars between leaving factory and arriving at the dealership is extremely difficult because most of the logistics industry still operates in the 1980s and car manufacturers have no financial reason to make the experience any better.

195 is "shipped from port of exit", think it's on a boat but that step is also used for the ride to dealership. Can call genius help line or your salesman for more info

Yeah, I would check with your CA, just to double check which in transit it is...they should have the information, allegedly.

My CA called to say my car is at the port in Galveston this morning.

I just checked the website, and it says it is "in transit" (status 195) as well!

I had been checking the website a couple of times a day, and hadn't seen anything other than "ready for transport" (status 165).

Now, we wait to see how long it takes at the port for the port installed accessories.

I never even found out that my car was on a ship or anything...

EDIT:

I wanted to double check and make sure which of the "in transit" steps I was on: before being on the ship, or after.

So I called the Genius and they said I've been on a vessel since the 16th and was due to land today.

Ship name: ARC Resolve

So it's confirmed that my car is at the stateside port.

195 is a bit of an odd status, your car will go to 195 when it leaves Mexico to go to wherever, then go to 193 when it arrives at the port, then go back to 195 when it leaves the port to go to the dealer.

FWIW I went from 165 on the 20th January to 195 on the 16th February, there are three boats coming to the UK right now but no idea which one I’m on!

Hi All,

I just put a deposit down yesterday to get on the list for the M2. The rep said that it is approximately a year wait with 4 people ahead of me. I do not mind waiting but I do have a few questions for the people on this thread who have been through the process.

Roughly how long after getting an allocation does the car go into production?

Once in production how long till the car is delivered? Is this something like 3 to 4 months or longer?

Any information you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for this. If I am reading it right it looks like it varies between 2 months to about 8 months.

Not sure if you are referring to allocation to production, or production to delivery. Note though, the carbon pkg can push things out quite a bit.

So at least for me the production date is literally when it will hit the assembly line and be built, the mygarage chrome trick extension is neat

side note, how annoying is the blue caliper bug on the mygarage site lol

edit: hit code 160 (final assembly on tracker but code is "vehicle handover from factory to sales") so it took ~24 hours

Yes if you want to go buy one already built and you are taking on whatever it is in terms of color, options, etc. If someone wants to go through the process of building their own to their exact spec some dealers have a long lead time. I also wonder how many of the available M2's at dealers are from people backing out of the purchase.

My guess is that a pretty large majority of the ones sitting on the lot are from people backing out, for whatever reason.

The only reason I saw one in person locally was because someone backed out, and that was in November.

Varies. I had allocation in September but delayed submitting order til last week of November to time it to arrive around early March.
Production Begins 12/8, In Transit 1/23, ship is currently in Baltimore. My port is NJ.
