I am not opposed to the square nature of the front - I just think it's poorly executed.

The loss of the quad headlights is a big miss, IMO.

The side of the car also looks a bit plain - I wonder if we will see a "vent" in the Comp / CS.

I understand where you're coming from and I agree, because I do quite like this edgy squared off retro-like design they went with it's just that they could have made it a lot more cohesive.

The headlamps may be singular but do keep in mind although angel eyes are a part of BMW's tradition the are also known for their singular headlamp displays as well, especially going back more in their history..

The side "vent" decal may be missing but that's another thing that's not always been cemented in an //M car's design.. their philosophy seems to be more toward a cleaner look taking cues from past models, still we'll see because all is just speculation for now

Great to hear that the 6MT will be available in other markets and not just the US.I’m pretty sure ynguldyn had only confirmed for sure that the US was getting the 6MT but couldn’t confirm if other countries were.

There's no way in that price, unless I did a conversion wrong then it's $71k for a base M2 which is astronomical and 1k off Base M3s

It is never a straight conversion. They also have VAT.

Base M4 Germany - €89,900 (converted to US - $88,320)

Actual US M4 base msrp - $74,700

Using crude math and price in euros a couple posts up...$61,175 msrp. Who knows where that forum member got the pricing?

Base M4 Germany pricing €89,900 minus 19% VAT, does put it almost exactly at US M4 base msrp of $74,700.

Math would put it closer to $61k in US. If your Germany msrp is correct.
