0.0000000000000% chance BMW returns to F1 in the foreseeable future.

Having said that I think it would be interesting to see BMW return and I'd like to see Porsche jump in as well. F1 could use a bit of a shake up. |

With drivers like Hamilton,Vottas, Vettel and Verstappen they bring excitement to the sport. They are active social media users and have young crowds interesting in viewing F1. Times are changing. It's coming |

They're in Formula E, which is what they see as the future of automotive racing. I love Formula 1, but there needs to be more parity. I, for one, am sick of watching Hamilton and Mercedes win every race.

F1 isn't compétitive. Jens isn't allowed to race without electricity Involved either.
Rumors were going around Rahal is trying to get BMW into INDYCAR. Maybe they will want a ttV6 for the next M5 and go this route. They also have interest in DPi hybrid. I think F1 is just to expensive to justify the low chance of success. The formula sucks and most likely they'd get mocked like Honda. Id rather they just commit to WEC |

Just going to update my response now that bmw killed WEC. F1 isn't going to happen for sure now. BMW thinks small regional racing series are better than big international ones.
F1 hosts most races in poor countries that pay big bucks to have the races. BMW sells sports cars in Europe and the US. DTM IMSA make sense and formula e for electrics. INDYCAR makes more sense as well as it's got a match for US and somewhat euro exposure. |

After JPM and Ralf Schumacher consistently lost the championship in the best car, I wouldn't be eager to come back to Formula 1 either. Just looking at Toyota's F1 history again is a good reminder that having even the biggest budgets doesn't mean success.
