After seeing your pics, I am still on the fence. My cars never sit out in the elements so I really don’t need it for UV protection or heat blocking. It’s just an aesthetic choice. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
Congrats, and hope you connect with her soon!

I have to have tint, I can't walk outside when it's sunny without sunglasses. Plus it feels more private in the cabin

I understand your thoughts, but I would say the sun and heat along with dryness (depending on where you are in TX) will kill that leather over time, so UV reduction helps. They do sell clear tint products now if it's the coloration you dislike?

Or you could bring back the rainbow tint from the 90's

Thanks and Portimao presents extremely well on the m240 from all I have seen. Better than some of the other models imo.....
you absolutely can't go wrong with a blue bimmer.

Nov 5 - Placed order (Got allocation and production # the same day)

Jan 29 - Delivery

Tracking the build was not precise this time around from my experience, Jan 26th strangely the car showed at the port in MX and later got a message from SA that it was stateside and they were pushing to deliver by end of the month.

Dealer is telling me I'm the first delivery they've had on this car but not sure if that's just a line to make me feel special?

I drove the car straight home, parked in the garage and it's been there since. We got a rare snow and ice storm the next week, and I refuse to drive until the car is protected. Like many others, I ordered sight unseen. I also didn't tell my wife I ordered a purple car until we got to the dealership and she started pressing me for details... when I told her the color she started dying laughing then she saw it and loved it.

First impressions, the car feels quick and wants to speed badly but I'm sticking to easy break-in. Absolutely love Thundernight and so glad I went this way. Interior updates are great, although I still keep reaching by the steering wheel column/dash area for the push start so far.

Build
Thundernight Metallic
Oyster Vernasca
Shadowline Pack
Parking Assistance
Premium
Cooling & HP Tire
H/K Sound
That’s a twin to mine! I checked every box except red calipers, I stayed with blue.

What's the break-in process you're doing?

Yep the color is not for everyone, but it's definitely for me

Thanks and I'm all about some bold colors on a sporty Bimmer

More pics just added in the second post
In retrospect I should have just gotten that option to upgrade it now. I didn't realize I wouldn't get the PS4's without that option checked. Good build. I have a very similar car but black with blue stitching interior and blacked out wheels.

Can you take an up close pic of your front calipers? I am trying to solve the mystery of whether or not the cooling package gets larger calipers.

We need measurements from both calipers to solve this mystery! pads too. I will measure myself non-ZTK soon and post it.

GREAT looking build! Question: how was the paint out of the factory? Was a lot of correction necessary?

I love that color combination but unfortunately since ill be keeping the car a long time i dont have enough faith that there wont be color transfer on that gorgeous Oyster leather to actually order it.

Any issues with the Oyster yet ?

Very nice! I just ordered my Thundernight Metallic from Sewell in Grapevine on Saturday. Who did you use for your PPF and tint? Sewell quoted me $990 for both but I forgot to ask on specifics on how much coverage and what kind of tint they use.

There's no chance $990 for tint and PPF is any kind of good or quality coverage
