Nicely done. You can see the design evolution of the M240i naturally morphing into the M2. Kinda of like the transformation into the hulk action hero.

as expected the delta between the m2 and the 2 on the f series is definitely more pronounced than on the G series, but you can still tell someone's been hitting the gym more often

So how do your like the wing from the BMW Performance Part?

I thought STI Style wing would work but I like GT4 wing better.

I'd take the 240 for looks. Just needs quad exhaust and a CF roof.

as tradition with the 135/1M, M235/M2——the new M2 is a significantly wider and more brutal version of its base body style.

I like the way BMW have differentiated the two exteriors, the M240i having angular design cues and the M2 having the square boxy look. Both look good in different ways but photos probably don't do justice and id say in person the M2 will look mega.

May be just me, but the M2 looks like it has an aftermarket body kit, when compared side by side to the g42.

Maybe more something like this? Not as tall as the carbon fiber OEM and goes end to end like this. But more importantly has a gentler slope than OEM that continues with the slope of the trunk lid.

From the rear that carbon fiber tail helps tie in with the gloss black bottom part. And I'd keep the back part of that tail showing carbon fiber.

But I think the top part of the tail I would color match with the body so that looking from front three quarter it looks like it's one piece with the trunk lid.

Do not buy from this company. AutoID, IND, BimmerWorld, Bimmerparts, are among a number of other reputable companies. Trust me

I can totally see that given the more simple rectangular shapes of the M2. But I do prefer the boxy look over the weird triangles going on with M240.

And not to beat a dead horse, but I prefer the unique F87 front end compared to the simplistic rectangles of the G87.

I prefer the beefiness of the M2, no matter how 'boxy' or 'Lego-like'

As of a few weeks ago I never thought I'd utter these words, but the G87 is growing on me more every day. The leaked pics really did this design no justice.

It could still use a tasteful side vent.

My wonder is if the G42 aftermarket spoilers will fit right up to the G87. Same as G80/2 intakes, G82 exhaust etc.
