I was looking at these and why I didn't choose them.

This is a pure emotional purchase so I'm not exactly cross shopping the exact type of car round the board. but this is what I glanced it, some I actually test drove and considered (I actually made a spreadsheet) some like the IS500 I made a call and decided against it.

Cayman Base- Too expensive, 4cyl
Scatpack-easy to steal and longer wait time+ dated interior
Used F87- Same payment as new G87+ Unreliable
G8X M- Size+price+front end
Used cayenne TDI- Didn't want a mom car but was cool
Audi RS3 or S5- Auto only ,not rwd like competition.
Used X5M- Way to much for my wallet and again a SUV
Golf R- bad quality and hard to get w/o order
Civic Type R-Markups worse then anything I've ever seen and cant order.
IS500- Markups plus auto
Used 911- 7MT is a big increase in price so 70k= 80k miles.
Used Cayman- No warranty
Ford F350- Love it but auto+ not what I need currently.

Tesla Model 3P stacks up well for me. I'm only interested in an automatic. I live in the northeast, so AWD is a plus. More appealing color palette. Almost zero maintenance. Readily available. Handling felt pretty nice to me, and the smooth, brutal power is addictive.
Then by all means, choose the Tesla. Given those needs, I'd say the M2 probably isn't a great choice for you. You are paying a lot of money for features you may never use.

For you, maybe also consider the WRX in premium trim?
