My dads got an awesome set of tools, that will buff right out. Two different movie quotes but I feel appropriate. Sorry Hemispherical.

Sorry Yinz is Pittsburgh slang for "you guys". Comments here about it not being that bad make me feel better. Wrecker guy thinks frame is tweaked underneath. We'll have to see when it gets to the shop.

Those guys are all doom n gloom. Smart to listen to us optimists, not the guy picking up the pieces. When have you ever heard anything but encouragement, positive reinforcement and good cheer on here?

I'm no mechanic, all I can say is that it's quite possible you won't be totaled. I've seen cars survive similar off-road excursions before. Getting centered is not by itself a death sentence.

It doesn't look like you hit anything hard like concrete, if it's just dirt and other softish matter, the frame may not be bent. Doesn't look like you folded a wheel under, which would wreck tons of shit.

If it's just the lower panels, body shields, new exhaust pipes, maybe a cross-brace or two, you may be OK. I'm rooting for you!

I hope so. The one photo I was trying to show what appears to be a tear in the frame but was hard to tell not being on lift.

This car looks very fixable & there's no way it's ever close to a total. Hope you're back in the saddle before you know it. Glad you're okay man & Bambi wasn't hurt either.

That won’t be totalled I’m afraid

My G80 is being repaired at the moment and the bill is $45k, and insurance was happy to pay that rather than write it off…in fairness the car is fine and will be perfect when repaired.

The cost of repair usually needs to be >75% of the value

I’m using an amazing body shop in NY. If you want their details let me know. They’re approved repair specialists for a bunch of high end makes, Porsche, Lambo, Bentley etc

I'm having it taken to a certified BMW shop, seems to have great reviews and recommendations. They have similar brands in their portfolio as well.

If the car does end up being totalled and you get an allocation, send those wheels up here and I'll, um, hold onto them until your new car arrives.

All kidding aside, what a shitty situation to be in. Sorry this happened. Looks like you'll be without a car for a while. If you have good insurance and can rent a car, I suggest doing the Turo route and get a Boxter to enjoy this summer. It's cheaper than a Camary at Hertz.

Again, sorry you're in this pickle but you're okay and things will eventually get back to normal.

At least 2 of them need to be replaced. Will see what insurance says about that.

I have another car so don't need a rental fortunately.

Glad times 10 you are OK. Having lived on the East Coast, my neighbors sadly learned what kind of damage could result from encounter with the deer. They were also OK but the deer crashed into the windshield and the encounter could very well be much worse.

If the world substantially increased consumption of venison sausage pizza, these accidents would be more rare.

That sucks man. You just got it like last month too. RW Carbon fitment is very hit or miss also like Autotecknic, I’ve said it many times as I’m convinced it’s all from the same shitty factory in China. Worth the extra money for BMW parts.
