That's what I was told. Actually, on my accident repair it was "only" $224.69/hr, but that may be a discounted insurance rate.

Until the robots arrive, these rates are only going to go up. Every dealership in the nation is having problems getting enough techs to take on work.

It’s just crazy that even minimal work is unreasonably expensive now. I got a rock stuck in my rotors and the dealership wouldn’t consider it a “warranty item”, so I’d have to pay a $250 an hour for diagnostics, plus taxes and fees. Like, what the hell? I just need you to put my car on a lift for 10 minutes. I guess they have other work that pays more, so the baseline for entry is higher? I need to find a good performance shop in Denver anyway.

Installed one on my M2C F87 and added mesh as it was not as tight as the Mishimoto...

Same with plumbers. I am not paying a plumber to fix my faucet, I'm paying a plumber to NOT replace a some other guy's boiler today. |

I installed mine a few days ago; super easy install in under 20 minutes not including jacking up the car etc. The fit is perfect and the hardware is really good. For those that install it- don't forget to transfer the rubber trim from your existing plastic piece to the Mishimoto skid plate.

sure- If you have a peak under your car you will see that there is a rubber trim that hangs down from the stock skidplate. This helps create the negative pressure zone under the oil cooler thus pulling air through it. Because it is flexible you have a lower chance of damage if you drive over something like a rock or turtle etc
The Mishi skidplate has a little piece of aluminum that is perpendicular to the skidplate. The rubber trim from the stock skidplate can be mounted here so that you can retain the negative pressure under the oil cooler. Edit- I just saw that you are the OP and that your rubber trim is missing. Hopefully, you still have your stock skidplate. |

Yeah my brain just can't wrap around why it's not plastic and half the price lol Seems a bit of an overengineering.
