This is kind of like how the Japanese makers do it. I also think it's why the Japanese makers have such great reliability because they just continue to refine the life cycle of the vehicle, engines etc over the years.

BMW certainly has improved greatly in the reliability sector over the past years.

Me like a lot.

For me, the issue with the X1/X2 was the design/aesthetic felt like an afterthought. No plan but BMW decided to gather parts from the parts bin and “make a car”. The current-gen X1 to me looks well executed and more premium than prior gen. X2 looking like the same.
I agree - I have always thought that they could make nice looking options in this segment, and hadn't done so until now. Thew new X1M35 looks great - I am sure the X2 variant will as well.

I think you might be surprised at how many people are interested in an option like this - we currently have a 718 Spyder, an OG M2, and a MINI JCW...we are looking for something that is still sporty but has some additional utility. The new X1/X2 could definitely fit that bill...

Could not agree more. The F30 was an abomination. I’ve owned multiple G chassis cars now and they are light years better.

Hopefully they fixed the itting position. Last time I drove an X2 as a brand new loaner, I had leg cramps because of the weird positioning of the seat and the middle console.

I had an X2 for exactly a year before trading it in. Aside from the atrocious rear legroom, the front sitting position always bothered me too. I found that putting the seat all the way down helped bur still not optimal.

Not happening. Transversal mounted engine won't allow for a B58 to fit.

No can do if the car is on the FWD platform unless they borrow a v6 from another automaker.

Do we know for sure it’s a lit up grill and not just a highlight to tease the grill shape?

The lit up grill isn’t on any other photos featuring a different angle.

We dont know for sure for sure 100%, but my opinion is based on what I see and compare to i7. Looks identical.

You be the judge.

I mean youre not wrong, it is literally a highlight to tease the grille shape, i dont argue there, lol.

That would be useless considering the B48 already pushes the same power numbers. The sound and smoothness out of such a small car would be cool though

Maybe it's just an electric car thing? I have a hard time believing that they would include it on the X2 and not X1, let alone the X3 or X4
