Yeah man, thank you! I would be pissed if he was bullshitting. Lets hope they become available again before production that way i dont have to worry. Another guy in here said that the same thing happened to him in the summer time and just a couple weeks later the seats became available again. Praying for that to be honest!
Appreciate all the input guys...

Are you saying check to see how much the parts are compared to the $4,500 it added to my build when i added the Carbon Buckets?

You cant just add the cf buckets on your build sheet. It is part of the carbon package at $9,900 which includes the following:

The Carbon Package bundles the M Carbon roof, Carbon Fiber interior trim, and front M Carbon bucket seats in Black Merino leather with BMW M tricolors around the backrests and headrests.

That is the only way to spec the buckets. If your CA or someone claims it can be added at the port, I would love to see the proof. It would need to have a specific code and be shown on your VIR (Vehicle Information Report ).

I'm assuming i'm ok as my SA hasnt said anything about me not getting the buckets. Also when i did order the car the option was available and assuming it takes the 4-6 months to get the car with the buckets i'm hoping that it comes with them when the car arrives. That being said i did buy a G82 to hold me over till then and if the car ends up not coming with the buckets then i'm just going to stick with the M4. The standard seats in it are much more comfy compared to the M2 and i dont think it would be worth it to switch.

Ok so i got an update from my SA. Looks like due to limited production the seats have been removed from my build. The bucket seats are a must have for me and they told me that they have still requested to have the bucket seats, however they told me theres a chance it will be delayed even further due to this request as the car wont even enter production until the seats become available.

I am actually ok with this as i do have my M4 that i bought recently so i can just enjoy this car more until the M2 is built. I also assume that if it delays long enough i'll be getting a 2025 model which will probably come with the HP bump and any improvements on the platform so thats a benefit for me.

But yeah just wanted to let anyone know that if they had the bucket seats specced even as far back as November, that BMW has probably removed them from the build.

The carbon buckets aren't a Port Installed option. If they were, they would cost roughly $35,000 after installation. Yes, they are that much if you go to the parts counter at the BMW dealership. They're like $14K a pop, plus install and taxes.

So just wait, they are certainly worth the $10K.

For anyone that doesn’t want to wait, there are a couple of cars with buckets available on cargurus.

Probably more, but these are ones with actual pictures.

Thank you for posting this. I would have to add shipping as those dealers are far from me. A little far off my spec as well. I think i am fine waiting, especially considering the wait may trickle into the 2025 model year. Did they ever fully confirm the power bump and how much exactly? As well as what else is included in the 2025's?

New colors too, which are badly needed. 2025 M2 might be in my garage next year in Twilight Purple (rumored to be added). It’s definitely growing on me big time.

Oooh i would love if Twilight Purple is added. Might actually switch to that if that ends up being true. I would also love if IOMG was added as a color but i feel like it wont be. Due to the delay with the buckets i wouldnt be surprised if my car ended up being a 2025 model, which is honestly ok with me as i'd be getting the rumored power bump.

Will be interesting if this with the carbon package bids higher than the last M2 without.

This is the last sale on Bat

Not sure if anyone has seen but it looks like the carbon package is available again on the configurator. I'm going to email my CA to see if the buckets are being added back on my build.

Which dealership did you have your order with? Fremont BMW looks to have a BSM M2 with Carbon Package coming in. Price is about 79k which seems high without some port added options so i'm assuming whoever ordered it added the MP HAS kit. Maybe your car?

10k under sticker for seller. Add 3k for fees for the buyer. Why, as the seller, would you take that hit with 800 miles on it?

May want to be a tad bit more pessimistic. I got my allocation with carbon pkg on 7/29/23 and figured the factory wouldn’t let me order it unless they were ready.

Well exactly 6 months later, 1/29/24, I finally moved into production started (a lot of back and forth between “order received” and “scheduled for production” in between).
Im guessing I am still at least two months out from actually getting the car.

From what I understand, there was at least a few other posts on this forum from people in the same situation as me.

Thanks for the heads up. I try to stay positive haha. I have a really good connect with the GM of the dealership who has worked with my friend on 5 different BMW's, and he has confirmed with his port contact that I wont have any issues with receiving the buckets. Now, Im sure the timing could get pushed back, and i expect that. It literally just moved into productions status. Hoping for the best..

Were you able to save any of the aftermarket parts that were on your BSM build?
